promises

Why did you make a promise when you knew it was a lie?

Do you think I was naïve enough to actually believe you?

You opened my eyes, to a world of shadows and doubts

Where every move you made terrified me to the core.

--

Dark was your ‘love’

A love wrought of pain and violence

You showed me what it was to fear

To hide, to cower.

--

Your influence led me to despair

You taught me how to tremble

‘Yours forever'

Break me, hit me, hurt me.

--

Torment as I watch your dark glinting eyes

Your hands chocking me, drowning me

Pushing me down under

‘I love you’

Pierce me, shake me, shatter me.

--

And you smiled

Empty it was, void it was

Smile, smile as you watch the red seep

‘I hate you’

Strangle me, slash me, kill me.

--

Yes Dear, did you really think I would believe that

The promise was true

Do you ‘Love me. Hate me. Want me to be

Yours forever’?

A/N: Very morbid peice. Sorry if i scared anyone ;)
