Sky Blue and Hazel Eyes

Two blue eyes meet across a crowded room,

They meet hazel the eyes of her groom.

He could tell she was happy by her joyous look,

He had always been able to read her like a book.

Her soft pink lips bowed into a smile,

As she thought of mere hours ago when she walked down the aisle.

He smiled back wanting her in his arms,

The touch of her it’s soothing it calms.

Yet for now she was in the arms of another,

He was thankful it was a father and not some secret lover.

She longed for their lips to touch in a gentle kiss,

For them to be alone in their own sweet bliss.

He was busy now though being congratulated by all the guests,

As he stands with the best man who laughs and jests.

He glanced at her and thought she was the prettiest girl here tonight,

As he stood in his tux, not really a prince charming or a dashing knight.

But to his luck she loved him all the same,

He had come decide that cupid was good with his aim.

She thought he was handsome and she loved him with all her heart,

She couldn't bear to be without him, couldn't bear to be apart.

A few minutes later they got what they wished,

As they danced together her beautiful white gown swished.

They shared a bond, a love that burned bright,

They’d be together forever, they thought, as they danced through the night.
