The Last Tuesday
Epilogue
Jaclyn Ortiz
Life was silent. There was no more commotion. It all seemed over but the storm still rage on. I couldn’t just pretend like that hole wasn’t there everyday walking in the halls alone watching Aralin bound to Christi like she was the new thing on the market. I hated the way she looked at her as if she was an angel. The one who had caused all of the drama between us, she chooses. I should’ve known. How could I have been so stupid? But you know what? I’ve told myself for the past month that I don’t care as long as she’s happy. What’s it matter how crappy I feel? As long as she’s happy, I can try to be also.
“Jaclyn,” My eyes snapped off of the couple to see Ashley, her eyes dripping with grief. She had been with me those few weeks I was a wreck. “Come on, let’s get to class.”
I nodded shutting my locker. “Okay,” I forced a smile and followed suit behind Ashley.
I glanced back over my shoulder shocked to see Aralin staring at me, her lips cocked into a frown. Chirsti caught on and turned her face away forcing my lost love into a kiss. I cringed and turned away.
“Jaclyn,” I heard her call but I didn’t dare turn around.
“Jaccy,”
“Hey baby,” My fake smile turned into a grin as Tyler put his arm around my waist and kissed my forehead. It was sweet, gentle, but I knew deep inside I longed for something more, someone else.
I looked around again to see her dropped jaw shut with a snap. I would embrace her jealousy for as long as I could before it ate us both up.
EL FIN
AN: Don't hate me for that! I wanted Christi and Aralin together. Muhaha.
Man I feel horrible! I just let something good slip into nothing. Much sorrys guys, really. I hate it when school gets in the way of the mind. Yes. I tried very hard to work this story out better. Iv'e got like twenty different chapter 24's trying to see which way it would go but I couldn't get it right and in the end I made chapter 25 and ended it there. At least I ended it right? Promise this won't happen again. Having a creative writing class next year and being on summer now, I'll be on my toes with writing.
Ten Degrees East is the next one at Roosevelt High and some people do pop up again. Ten Degrees East is based on a true story sort of-ish. So yeah. I will most def finish that one the way I like becasue it has a certaain ending. Until then...Good day.
