A mystical world unfolds

Deep inside my head

A journey of self discovery

A story of hopes and doubts

A romantic tale of star crossed lovers

My novel ventures out

A sea of creatures crouching

In a sea of rocks

To slap me down with reality

To keep me in a box

My body may remain

In reluctant captivity

But deep inside my mind

Deep inside my soul

Deep inside my untainted heart

I know

Freedom lies just beyond my grasp

A land of untold sweetness

For all I need to venture there
