Comfort me,

With your gentle rashness

Make me see,

Life through your glasses

I have searched well far and wide

But all I've gotten

Were these sore eyes

Tell me there's hope in

Broke glass

Show me where loves not surpassed

And you know the answer too well

For it still breathes even beneath

We have shined bright together

Opposites complement each other

Gold and gray makes the fitting

Till total daylight does it's bidding

Don't mistake me for blindness

By my awfully sweet kindness

I have fought those same devils

I've just never seeped to their level

I hold your face so you'll hear me

Eyes do a lot but can't see clearly

And this truth will take its case

Somewhere around the bending

Cuz that is how life goes

The way of the tidal flow

So don't fight it for it knows

Once you ponder on past things

You've entangled yourself in chains

So release them once and for all

Now we hear God's perfect call...

If I am to talk of nothing else

The lasting note to create yourself

To complete that stone heart of yours

that just cries for some daylight

My last refrain would not be to hide

To speak the words of souls that just die

Nor lie about like I've got no way

Singing "maybe it's not my day"

Open up to this life you've got

It started off sweet, have you forgot?

Angels will wait intill you've open up

Now play the day for the golden cup
