Vampires Are Real
“Cree,” Derik starts seeing her appear from the shadows, “What are you doing up so early?” he asks her blinking.
“Sir,” she starts bowing, “If I may,” she starts looking up at him, “Might I ask you that question?”
Pausing he shakes his head with a grin, “Kishi’s hungry,” he says patting the back of her chair, “So I’ve escorted her here,”
Blinking, “Wait,” she pauses looking up at him, “But you came to get me,” she says confused.
“I know,” he says with a smirk leaning over her chair, “But you have a different schedule then us,” he says his attention grabbed by the moving objects by the doorway.
“Hey,” the black haired Drake says waving to everyone.
“Hey!” Kishi says waving back, “Where’s Chris?”
Shaking his head, “Why do you always ask about him?” Derik asks leaning against her.
“I don’t know,” she blinks, “I know him better,” shrugging her stomach growls and Drake chuckles.
“I’ll go get them,” he points out spotting Cree, “Cree come on,” he says getting her attention.
“Y-Yes sir,” the black haired girl replies lowering her head quickly padding along past Derik and Kishi, past Derik, into the kitchen without saying a word.
“Chris is too exhausted to move at the moment,” Drake says smirking leaving also to go help her.
‘Exhausted,’ Kishi thinks finally getting it, “Oh wow,” she says shocked.
“Hmm?”
“Drake and-,”
“Oh yes they are,” he nods with a chuckle, “Chris is a feedling after all,” finishing he pecks her cheek standing up.
“Hey!” the ember haired girl says angrily, “You can’t do that!”
“Why not?” the older vampire pouts, “You didn’t even notice,” he pouts pulling away to stand his full height, “Oh no more arguing,” he urges, “You’re foods here,”
Looking at the people emerging Cree was one of the first she saw carrying multiple trays in her hand, “Oh no,” she whines as the black haired girl came closer. “This is gonna be like last night isn’t it!” she says turning her head to look at Derik, who was gone. “Now why didn’t I see that coming,” she says shaking her head sighing looking back at the table. Eyes widening she jumps her chair wobbling and flipping backwards, “Ah!” she screams trays crashing as she landed on something soft.
Hearing grunting Kishi expected it to be Derik or even Drake but when the grunts came again they sounded female, “Get off me,” Cree’s voice says harshly, “Your heavy,”
Her eyes flying open, ‘no way,’ she says noticing her position which looked like she was pinning Cree there. The food trays knocked over around them, “Wow I wasn’t expecting this,” she says sitting up on her arms still sitting on Cree’s lower body as Drake walked in.
“Hey Cree what was all-,” he pauses seeing her position his mouth dropping, “Kishi I didn’t know,” he starts his eye brows raising as he starts to leave.
“It’s a misunderstanding I swear!” she yells jumping off the black haired girl running after her friend’s lover.
“Sure,” he says waving his hand, “I get you,”
“I,” she pauses recalling what she saw on the table to freak her out, ‘it was that boy from earlier,’ she thinks, ‘the younger one, Kori,’ “Kori?” she mumbles blinking.
Stopping dead in his tracks, “What’d you say?” he says turning around looking her dead in the eyes.
“Eh,” the ember haired girl starts backing up, “Nothing,” ‘for our safety and yours you can’t tell them about us,’ Kori’s voice echoes in her head though it was Mashino who said it.
“No,” Drake says stepping forward grasping her arm, “What did you say?” he repeats getting closer.
“Get away from me,” she whines shaking pushing him away running back into the dining room. Tripping she falls on the floor again gasping from the pain hearing Drakes footsteps follow her.
Cree who’d managed to get and was in the middle of cleaning up her mess thanks to the clumsy ember haired girl. Pausing to watch the scene unfolding as a side to Drake appears that she’d not ever seen before.
“Who were you talking about,” he growls again seeing Kishi sit up turning towards Drake scooting away, “Tell me now before-,” he starts getting cut off by her evil tone.
“Or what!” she yells hissing at him glaring full on, “You’d do best not to do a thing,” she warns growling.
“Why the fuck, are you being so hard headed,” he growls clenching his fist stepping forward his fangs bared.
“Why the hell are you being so annoying!” Kishi yells scooting away furious. All while Cree watched amazed and shocked.
“What’s going on Drake?” an angered older voice appears stepping in front of Kishi for her defense.
Ignoring his older brother he continues to press her, “I know what you said,” he hisses, “Now repeat it!”
“Bite me!” she yells shaking not saying anything.
Derik’s eye brow raises from her humor even at a time like this, turning he swoops her up turning back to his brother, “Drake I don’t know what the hells going on but you’re out of line,” he states sending a glare at him.
“Derik she said Kori!” Drake yells at him.
Pausing not wanting to argue, “Drake taking it out on her isn’t how you should have handled it,” he says looking down at her, “Are you alright?” he asks concerned sighing.
“Does it look like I’m alright,” she says angry avoiding his glaze.
Chuckling, “I’m sorry have you eaten?” he asks seeing Cree with a bunch of trays and food on the floor, “What happened?”
“He was here wasn’t he,” Drake asks his fists clenched as he looked at the half filled table. “That’s why you freaked out. That’s why you fell,” Drake says shaking his head, “Why didn’t I feel it,”
“Drake shut up,” Derik starts annoyed, “Go back to your room and look after Chris,” he finishes looking at the table and to Cree, “Cree are you alright?”
Blinking from all the commotion she slowly nods looking at the table then to Derik, “Yes,” she squeaks taken back from Drake’s personality switch. Clenching the trays to her she quickly maneuvers her way around making her way back to the kitchen.
Scanning the food again he coos walking over towards the table, “You haven’t eaten,” he says seeing her head shift towards the food then back into his chest.
“I’m not hungry any more,” she whines stubbornly.
“Don’t be like that,” he coos back shaking his head.
“Just take me to my room,” Kishi says from his chest closing her eyes, ‘I didn’t know something like this would happen,’ she thinks relaxing against Derik.
“I will after you eat something,” Derik replies shaking his head moving towards the table, “There’s no choice in this,” he then adds, “Would you like me to stay?” he asks since Drake was still nearby and still somewhat angry.
Sniffling and sighing, ‘he’s like a father,’ the ember haired girl thinks, ‘the kind I’ve heard about,’ she continues sighing nodding, ‘A nice one,’ “Ok,” she agrees looking up at him.
Nodding, “Good,” the older silver haired man says, “And what about me staying?” he asks seeing her nod to that too. “Fine,”
Releasing her feet so they touched the ground the vampire makes sure she’s ok to walk before he released her. He then, after he found she was ok, left her side to flip up her chair pulling it out for her to sit down. “Thanks,” Kishi smiles as if nothing happened in the last couple of minutes. “So,” the ember head starts, “What are we going to do today?” she asks looking up at him curiously.
Grinning amused, ‘She really has no idea,’ he thinks his silver hair swaying at his shifted his weight, “Well I thought we’d learn about history,” he says hearing her choke on her drink.
“What? I’ve got to learn here!” she sighs depressed, “I dropped out of school why do I need to go back,” she continues in a mumble.
