I try to tell you,
But no word seems to fit.
I try to hug you,
But it’s never enough.
I try to let you hold me,
But my pride gets in the way.
I try to let you know,
But even forever has its limit.
So instead I’ll tell the whole wide world;
For has ever there been such everlasting love
as between a daughter and her mother?
