"I Am A Denying Person"

i am a denying person
believing the worst can't happen to me
turning my back on disappointment
but most assuredly it's come to be

'cause before it went totally limp
my heart began to ache
and after it tore and began to bend
it went completely south
and happen to break

that was back in the cold, cold winter
when mother nature unleashed her ice
educating us all in pomp and circumstance
corrupting humanity to pay the price

and i just can't face you yet
it'd be too hard to bare the scars
taking away from our past
as the moon does with the light of stars

i am a declining person
surrounding brain cells with memories
avenging on brutal thoughts
while waiting to breath in your decree
and tying every so tightly the knot
you placed around your apartment key

but i am now an accepting person
responding to you on a casual basis
'cause if i've learned anything from it all
it's that dying from a broken heart
feels like this
