The fool

Such fools are doomed by reality!
You said these words with such hatred
Describing the children of nature,
Living life as it should be;
True love in such beautiful freedom.
But you lead a life that make me wither
Like a dying flower at the eve of frost,
With cold winter burning inside
Turning my tears into pearls of ice.
- I am but a dreamer in disguise!

You would take me for a realist
Living a dull life inside this box of duties
But I would crave for love,
As a small child is craving for sweets.
I dream my way through the days beside you
My act of fondness rings false, but you don't see
If it was not for my pledge I would leave
I have given so much of my heart to please you
Where’s the price for which I’ve paid?
- Oh, when’s the end of this masquerade?

Consumed by regrets I can see, I was such a fool
To haste down the path towards a dream
For which I fought a thousand strives,
For which I died a thousand deaths
And cried a river that drowned me
Thousand times again,
While by my windowpane
I prayed to the majesty of night,
That shone on me so bright and silvery;
- When will true love come to me?
