The story behind this written piece of insanity: I was working on PA, editing and stuff, before my friend, who loves Broadway, came to pick me up for another friend's surprise party. After she picked me up, we were on the way and she had the song 'Dancing Through Life' from Wicked playing. I suddenly got an image of Rei singing this and then this oneshot was born.

Rei's Dancing Through Life

Lucy, Rai, And Kameko were peacefully playing a board game in the living room at the twins and Kameko's house. Suddenly they heard singing coming from up stairs. Good singing in Lucy's opinion, but the siblings had been annoyed by it too much to think of it as good singing.

The trouble with school is
They always try to teach the wrong lesson
Believe me, I've been kicked out
Of enough of them to know
They want you to become less callow
Less shallow

"Is that Rei singing?" Lucy's asked. Rai and Kameko nodded their heads.

But I say: why invite stress in?
Stop studying strife
And learn to live "the unexamined life":

At this point Rei was coming down the stairs. He had headphones on and it looked like he didn't even realize he was singing.

Gliding where turf is smooth

"He picked a fitting song", Rai joked. Lucy and Kameko laughed.

"Unfortunately", Rai muttered. He had heard enough of Rei's singing in his lifetime.

Kameko had had enough and used her telekinetic ability to turn off the CD player, but Rei kept on singing.

He stopped at the end of the chorus then asked, "I was singing out loud wasn't I?"

The three gave him 'duh' looks.

"O… Well, how'd you like my performance?"

"It was interesting… I didn't know you could sing", Lucy answered. His siblings had a bad feeling of what was coming next.

"In that case, I'll finish the song", Rei said brightly, "Hey, Luc, want to do Galinda's part?"

Lucy, Rai, and Kameko all sweatdropped.
