watercolor days

if i could, i'd dream this world blue.
my body would trickle across the page like watercolor stains,
disappearing in the muddled shades of poets before me.
but my words would remain to stand beside theirs,
casting a fluorescent shadow on the indigo sun:
they'd burn out the moon with their cold, grasping fire.
