Sacrilege: Order Of The Ages

Prologue

The sorority house of Phi Theta Kappa buzzed with a myriad of activity. The alcohol flowed, the music blared, the young people danced. Tonight was a special party being thrown for one of it’s senior members and they had spared no expense. Anybody and everybody was there, no parents to tell them what to do, no authority to keep them in check, no professors to censor their language…this was the typical college party.

“Ask it something else…” shouted one girl who was part of a large circle.

“This game sucks, lets go play Twister!” shouted the birthday girl.

“But I only got to ask it one question.” said a young woman named Daphne.

The birthday girl imitated a scale with her hands “Let’s see, Ouija Board or being twisted into compromising positions with some hot guy, that’s a tough one.”

Daphne smiled “Good point.”

At which point, the huddle of girls dispersed to continue their “girls gone wild” night out. As the hours rolled by Daphne, engaged in a number of party games such as Spin The Bottle, Drink Till You Drop and Pin the Tail On The Hottie. She was enjoying herself, just as any other young Junior in college would. As the party waned, Daphne lounged on the couch. She took a look at her watch which read 3:15 a.m. She rubbed her eyes and ran her fingers through her straight blonde hair. Realizing she had work in the morning, Daphne decided it was time to turn in. Saying goodbye to a few friends, she exited the sorority house and began to walk to her car.

The warm spring night carried with it a pleasant breeze. Daphne turned around to look back at the party and smiled. She than resumed her walk to her vehicle. Finally reaching the parking lot, she unlocked the door and briefly glanced up at the sky. The stars shone brightly, but something else caught Daphne’s attention. A soft pulsating red light seemed to glimmer in the distance, quite unlike anything she had ever seen before. Quite distinguishable from any of the stars, the peculiar object stood stationary, glowing with an eerie brilliance. The college girl stared on inquisitively as to what the ominous sight was. Seconds later the object darted upwards and vanished. Daphne smirked and got into her car.

“That’s the last time I drink the Tequila worm.” she said.

The drive home was uneventful and the night was peaceful. Daphne drove up to her apartment complex, smiling with memories from the party. She climbed the height of stairs that led to her one bedroom apartment and casually unlocked the door. Her place wasn’t very big, with one bedroom and bathroom and a kitchen; but it was affordable and not many college kids lived off campus. The apartment just added to her independence, she was a girl who was going somewhere in life. After taking a quick shower, Daphne climbed into bed and cuddled her pillow. It wasn’t to long before she drifted off to sleep…

In the dead hours of the night a brilliant blue light spilled into Daphne’s room through the shutters. Daphne awoke with the intense feeling that something was wrong…terribly wrong. The blue light became stronger and almost became blinding. With her fear rising to higher levels with each passing minute, the young woman found herself suddenly paralyzed, unable to move or speak. Than the sounds of footsteps were audible just outside her door. The door opened in swarmed dozens of little creatures. Daphne stared on in absolute fright as these four foot anomalies invaded her bedroom. They had metallic gray skin and their heads were disproportionate with the rest of their bodies. They had huge black eyes and were totally hairless. The creatures came up to the sides of Daphne’s bed and just looked down at her.

The terrified girl wanted to scream but couldn’t, her eyes welled up in tears. A suffocating odor pervaded the room and assailed Daphne’s nostrils, she thought she was going to die. One of the creatures raised it’s four fingered hands and waved it over Daphne’s head, things went immediately dark.

Daphne opens her eyes and is shocked to find herself no longer in her bedroom, but instead in large completely white room, devoid of any features. She looks down and finds that she’s completely naked strapped down to some kind of table. Weird and unearthly devices surround her, once again she finds that she paralyzed unable to speak or move. Than without warning one of the nightmarish creatures is looking her dead in the face. It’s huge black eyes just staring at her. More of these creatures start to enter, as if out of nowhere, seemingly materializing out of thin air. There is more than just a sense of fear, Daphne senses the presence of evil.

A voice begins to talk to Daphne inside her head, it seems that one of the creatures is communicating with her telepathically.

“Do not be afraid…we will not harm you.” says the monotone computer like voice.

The message is hardly comforting, the voice emotionless and machine like. The creatures begin to probe the frightened girl with other worldly type instruments. Daphne closes her eyes as she feels extremely violated by this. One of the creatures uses a laser like device to scan her eyes and she gets a brief glimpse of a humanoid type baby. The child cries and the sounds become unbearable. While the creatures continue to probe, the computer like voice once again speaks to her.

“You will serve a great purpose…” says the voice.

Unable to stand it any longer, Daphne closes her eyes and utters a blood curdling scream…

At that exact moment Daphne awakens in her darkened bedroom, drenched in a cold sweat, her scream echoing off her walls. Her face pale and flushed, the terror still very much alive. Exhausted from her ordeal, the frightened young women begins to sob hysterically because deep down she knows that this wasn’t just a mere nightmare…she knows this was for real…
