we all know that pull in the stomach, the stretch like taffy from torso to toes
not a sharp pain, no hot tears, no stinging-
a blunt object pressing,
an rusted knife not even putting forth effort.
i’m guessing you know.
i could be wrong though.
but i don’t think / so,
take care of yourself,
it’ll be alright/ it’ll be alright
tell it again-
don’t be obtuse.
ah forget it, don’t be / so, obtuse.

and i know it well, my closest friend:
the stretch like taffy from torso to toes.
