They were brothers even though they had never seen each other. They were brothers even though one of them had walked the streets of immortal city of Romans and died long before the other was born.

First of the brothers had a birthmark on his neck. He commanded armies and for his whole life thought that he can overhear walls of the houses speaking. Rome died together with him but the city where all the roads lead cannot stay dead for a long time.

Second brother had a beauty mark on one of his eyelids and a silver stud in his lower lip. Born in a huge city of sky maiming buildings, he was afraid of heights. Second brother graduated and found a job. He delivered pizza.

Every day, choking on the fumes of modern chariots, he drove past thousand of faces. At night sometimes he dreamt dreams of great aqueduct. He died under the wheels of a lorry full of kiwi-flavoured icecream before he fell in love.

No one cried after two brothers.

The next to last day before the end of the world brothers will finally find each other among the frost and conflagration. They will clasp their hands together and walk away in search of a new life.
