There was a time
When I truly believed
What I thought
Had faith in
And had opinions on
Really meant something.

You showed me the right
Made me realize just
How wrong I really was
Everyone had their beliefs
We all have strong views
Mine…were nothing special.

I believed then that
My opinions mattered not
Yet proven wrong again
I learned something profound
It will stay with me for years
