"ARE YOU INSANE?!?!?" Three voices rang out through the lavish penthouse apartment.

"Why the deuce would you do that?" Mew asked shaking her fellow authoress fervently.

"B-bec-cause... STOP SHAKING ME!!!" The poor, shaken above mentioned authoress cried. After the shaking stopped she composed herself, and cleared her throat. "As I was saying, because I have lost my inspiration here. I need to go somewhere else. Even it's just to the Bahamas for Spring Break."

"You will spend the holiday alone though..." Mew pouted.

Creeing and Savvie snorted. "Like hell. She will be spending it on a beach, sipping margaritas, and enjoying the sights... men..." Creeing muttered.

"I'm pissed you didn't get me a ticket..." Savvie poked/stabbed Mila in her side.

"Owwww... Who said I didn't?" Mila pouted while rubbing her abused side.

"YOU GOT US TICKETS?!" All three girls looked up in surprise. "HOW?!?!"

“We're world renown writers... you don't think we couldn't get that kind of hook up?”

“We forget.” Mila sweat dropped and fell over in her chair.

some time later... on ship

"Ooer. Look at the sky..." Mila commented, pulling out her camera. The sky was growing dark as the sun slowly set into the approaching storm. The said storm clouds seemed to slowly lower into a dense, suffocating fog, and the photographer/writer was completely amazed by the whole sight.

"It's so gloomy though..." Mew sighed next to her.

"I feel like writing an angst fic..." Creeing commented from the deck above them.

"Don't you always..." Savvie commented dryly from the banister next to Mew. Mila ran to the tip of the ship and stood starboard.

"I AM QUEEN OF THE WORLD!!!" She shouted to the seemingly unending sea.

"No wonder it feels like I'm in hell..." Savvie laughed from behind her. Mila stuck her tongue out indignantly at the woman and took another picture of the horizon.

"It's sad. We're twenty-five and still act like fifteen year olds together..." Mew sighed, as they laughed softly. The crew moved around them, as if they were not there, in complete silence.

"What happened?" Creeing asked contemplatively from the doorway, having come down to the main deck.

"Whaddya mean?" Savvie asked. "We're living our dream. We're award-winning authoress-slash-whatever-else-we-wanted-to-be-in-life and we're on vacation."

"Shit happened." Mila sighed softly.

"What do you both mean?" Mew asked frustrated. She looked pointedly at Creeing and Mila. "Nothing happened."

"No Mew..." Creeing sighed. "Something happened. Because if nothing did. It wouldn't be this way..."

"What way?" Savvie asked confused. "What wouldn't be?"

"Alone." Mila stated quietly. "We wouldn't be alone."

"We're not alone..." Mew argued. "We have each other."

"But who else, Mew?" Savvie asked, falling into the conversational angst. "We left in our teenage years to college, and, to my knowledge, none of us have talked to our parents since. Sure we have contacted our siblings, but they have their own lives, their own priorities. They're not worried about us. All we have is our apartment, our novels, and us."

"Don't forget the money and fame." Mila added. "That's a nice touch."

"Do we need anymore?" Mew asked, fighting hard against the angst consuming her.

Savvie and Creeing fell silent. Mila spoke up, "Maybe we do... because if we didn't... I wouldn't feel so..."

"...Alone." Mew finished for her. "I know. I know." And with that darkness filled the sky, the sun had finally set.

! 1 hour later !

"OW! GODAMMIT!! WHO KEEPS MOVING THIS GODDAMNED SHIP AROUND!!?!?!" Creeing swore aloud, while hitting the wall.

"I don't think God is damned. I think we are." Savvie commented nonchalantly while sliding down the hallway.

"Is everyone okay?!" Mew called whipping out a flashlight and stepping out into the hall... only to trip over Savvie's still sliding body. Creeing laughed at their scrambling attempts to stand upright.

WHAM!

"Owwie..." Creeing muttered, having been hit with the flashlight.

"Nice aim Savvie." Mew complemented while finally grasping a support beam and pulling them both up. "Headcount! 1..2..3.. Hey! Has anyone seen Mila?" She yelled over the roaring storm outside their cabins.

"Noo-AIEEEE!!" Creeing ended with a scream as she tumbled to the floor when a wave hit the side of the ship. The flashlight conked her in the eye, and she groaned and muttered. "Why do we have this damn flashlight in the first place?"

"Because." Mew answered, still holding on to Savvie and the support beam for dear life. "The lights might go-" The lights flickered off. "-out. Now go find Mila."

"Why me?" Creeing clawed at the wall, attempting to stand.

"Because you have the flashlight and you're closest to the exit."

"Damn smart Brits." Creeing muttered, while being somewhat tossed out into the deck by another wave.

"I AM NOT BRITISH!!" Mew shouted.

"Mew?"

"Yes Savvie?"

"You're strangling me."

"Oh. Sorry about that dear." She let go of Savvie's collar, and the woman fell into the wall. "I'm sorry about that too!"

"Grrrr..."

!Out on deck!

"MILA! MILA! IF YOU'VE DIED AND WE CAN FIND YOUR BODY I'M BEATING THE SHIT OUTTA YOU!!!!... AND STEALING ALL YOUR MANGA!!" A passing crew member looked at her incredulously, and she glared at him.

"THE HELL YOU WILL!!!" A voice shouted back in the storm. "NOT EVEN OVER MY DEAD BODY!!!!"

Mila slid down the deck grasping a rope tightly. "CREEING!" The other woman turned towards her. She tossed her a rope and yelled 'Hold on tight!' Just then a wave washed over the deck and the two women were thrown into the side of the ship. "Oof" they breathed when they hit, and Mila looked into the dark sky. Only lightning lit it now and she could barely see it through the fog.

"ROCKS!" The cabin boy yelled from the crow's nest. A sharp, scraping sound pierced their ears and they winced in pain.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Savvie yelled, barely heard from the doorway of their cabins.

"TITANIC!" Creeing yelled in response.

Mila kicked her. "THAT WAS AN ICEBERG DUMBASS!!!"

"Well then... Damn. ROCKS!!!!" she yelled into the darkness.

"CODE RED! CODE RED! WE'RE BEING BOARDED!!!!!" Screams and heavy footsteps pounded on board, but Mila could barely hear it. The water was swallowing her whole, bringing her into the darkness. With a last thread of consciousness she wondered. 'Just when did I enter the water...?'
