I hold on so nervously
To me and my drink
I wish it was cooling me
But so far, has not been good
It’s been shitty
And I feel awkward, as I should
This club has got to be
The most pretentious thing
Since I thought you and me
Well I am imagining
A dark lit place
Or your place or my place

Well this place certainly fits the bill. Dark, a few coloured lights pointed at the stage as a group of girls danced.

Just the way I like it.

Well I’m not paralyzed
But, I seem to be struck by you
I want to make you move
Because you’re standing still
If your body matches
What your eyes can do
You’ll probably move right through
Me on my way to you

I hold out for one more drink
Before I think
I’m looking too desperately
But so far has not been fun
I should just stay home
If one thing really means one
This club will hopefully
Be closed in three weeks
That would be cool with me
Well I’m still imagining
A dark lit place
Or your place or my place

The girls were just play toys really, until someone watching decides to go just a bit further and offs them. No one notices…no one cares. Why? Because these girls know who owns this place and what kind of crowd come here. They all willingly show every night, knowing it might be their night to go…of course that doesn’t happen often.

But it’s not them I’m interested in seeing tonight. No…the one I want to see is the only one I’ve been coming for these last few nights, since I discovered this place.

Well, I’m not paralyzed
But, I seem to be struck by you
I want to make you move
Because you’re standing still
If your body matches
What your eyes can do
You’ll probably move right through
Me on my way to you

We’ll, I’m not paralyzed
But, I seem to be struck by you
I want to make you move
Because you’re standing still
If your body matches
What your eyes can do
You’ll probably move right through
Me on my way to you

There she is, near the end. The girl that gets every man, dead or alive, in this place entranced. Her bright blonde hair fell down in untamed waves. Her body moved fluidly with ease. The rest of the girls couldn’t even compare.

I’m not paralyzed
But, I seem to be struck by you
I want to make you move
Because you’re standing still
If your body matches
What your eyes can do
You’ll probably move right through

You’ll probably move right through

Damn…the song was over and now she’s gone. My fangs itched for something to settle my craving. One of these girls just did her last show. It wasn’t my girl, she seems to be the only one off limits. Whether or not the owner has claims on her, no one knows.

I threw the girl’s body onto the couch in one of the rooms, wiping her blood off my chin. I left the room and ran my hand on the door, marking it so that others knew what was in there. Then I left the club all together.

“Aww, you’re no fun.” Oh, what is this? Seems like our little vampire killer is out tonight. I smirked and walked towards the sounds of fighting, coming across the scene rather quickly. There she was, the bitch. Her blonde hair up in a ponytail as she ducked and dodged blows from some vampire or another. She delivered a few of her own before ramming a stake through the vamp’s heart to finish it off.

“I’m guessing it was a newbie.” I said, stepping out from the shadows. I smirked as she stiffened. Very slowly she turned around, those bright blue eyes of hers staring right at me, full of energy, passion, all things you see in someone who enjoys fighting…or another equally enjoyable activity that more commonly takes place in a bed.

“Well, Draven…long time no see.” She said, crossing her arms and putting the stake in plain sight.

“Oh that it has been my dear little Kyra.” I said, smiling in a way that made me look sinister and showed off my fangs to their full extent. “Far too long.” I circled her, running a clawed hand along her chin and down her neck to rest on her shoulder as I stopped behind her. “It seems as if you’ve been avoiding me and my humble little graveyard.”

“There are about six graveyards in this city.” Kyra said, turning her head slightly to look at me. “I can’t be in all of them at once.”

“One would think that you don’t like them with the way you’ve been avoiding me.” I said, smoothly. I was rewarded with her shivering. Despite what she says, I know I can get under her skin easily.

“When did you pick up on that?” Kyra asked, sarcastically, finally turning completely around. “Of course I don’t like you. You’re a vampire. I hate vampires. I kill vampires. Are we gonna fight tonight or not because I’m tired.”

“Someone is snippy tonight.” I said, stepping closer so that I felt her chest rise and fall against my own. She has to raise her eyes to look at me and I smirked again at yet another advantage over her. “My poor little slayer. Does she need a rest?” It was taking a lot for Kyra not to back away from me, I knew it. “I could give you a permanent one.”

“I think I’ll pass.” Kyra said. Her chest moved faster and I closed my eyes, enjoying the slight panic I was sensing from her. Enjoying the sound of her heart beat quickening and the tantalizing smell of her blood. I opened my eyes and scanned her arm to find a cut on it.

“Ah…there’s the answer.” I said. Kyra’s arm disappeared behind her back. I clucked my tongue and shook my head. “So untrusting.”

“Go back to hell.” Kyra said.

“Such fire.” I said, stepping closer still. Kyra backed away. I continued to step closer until I had her backed up to a wall then I put my hands on either side of her head. “I like that in my girls.”

“I am not your girl.” Kyra said through clenched teeth.

“Hmmm…not yet.” I said, trailing the back of a finger down the side of her face. “But one can always hope.” Against her will, I imagine, her eyes drifted shut as my hand traveled for her neck, over her shoulder and down her arm. My eyelids dropped slightly as I watched her reactions. Her pale pink lips parted slightly.

My hand had gone to her waist and started back up her body before I stepped away. Her eyes flew open and she stared at me. Five…four….three…two…one. Kyra’s fist came out and hit me right in the head and I stumbled backwards. I anticipate it, but I can never seem to stop it.

“Stop…doing…that.” Kyra said, threateningly.

“Trust me, darling.” I said, slowly reaching up to put my hand on my head where she had hit. “I’m just blowing off steam. You’re not my type.”

“As if you ever could get me.” Kyra said.

“Trying to convince yourself…or me?” I asked. She hit me again before stalking off into the darkness.
