"A Beautiful Hark”

Written by: Blk Sapphire

Ever know that feeling of losing yourself?

Ever know that feeling of being someone else?

You thought you heard your voice

You thought you heard a cry

Baby, it was never yours

It was always mine.

You're so delusional

You're so crazy

Thinking for a moment that you own your head

You're so stupid

You're so silly

Baby, its society that owns your thoughts

Honey, it's me that owns your thoughts.

Rubbing your temples

Tapping your fingers

Chewing the eraser off the pencil back

Wanting to know who

Wanting to know who

But baby, it's all you,

But baby, it's all you.

The hark itches at the back of your skull

Eating apart of you that you'll never know

You'll never ignite such sinful flames again

Because, baby, mommy knows that little boys can't like other men.

You don't touch that part of a man

You can't think of such things

Baby, let me erase all those things

So I know you'll never sin.

It's not you

You're not who you think you are

Because, baby, mommy knows best

Mommy knows the best of her little star.

The hark is my voice

Telling you to obey

You can't be who you want to be

Not in this society.

Men can't love other men

Girls can't love other girls

Because, baby, mommy knows

Because, baby, mommy knows.

Listen to the hark,

And don't be you

But if don’t listen to mommy

And break my heart

Never come back,

Get out of my house.
