This originally started out as a fan fiction for the other site, unfortunately our school blocked that site and since I have to upload things through the school computer it turned into something slightly different. This story just randomly bumped into my head one day when I was playing a prank on one of my friends…so enjoy!

Mortal Enemies

“Kari!”

Kari turned around to see her best friend Sandra shouting her name and running to catch up with her. She smiled and waited for her friend. “Hey Sandra” she said when Sandra caught up with her.

“Hey, so are you ready for the first day of our senior year?”

“I know it’s exciting.”

“I’m glad to see everyone again,” Sandra fixed her ponytail as they walked up to their school.

“Well almost everyone,” Kari frowned when she caught sight of Isaac, the most popular kid in school and her mortal enemy.

Sandra rolled her eyes at her friend, “Honestly, when are you two going to grow up?”

“It’s not my fault he started it,” Kari thought of the first day of junior high when Isaac read her diary for the entire lunch period to hear. She narrowed her eyes; he paid dearly for that day.

“Whatever.”

Isaac turned around as if he had caught their scent. His eyes twinkled with mischief and his smile turned into a smirk. “Well look who it is, how’re you Kari?”

Kari stiffened, “Fine, dog breath.”

Snickers erupted around them, and Isaac flushed, “And here I was being nice.”

“Idiot, you don’t know the meaning of the word.”

“You damn stupid bitch,” he muttered turning around to stalk off with his popular crew.

Kari didn’t say anything, she just swung her foot as hard as she could and kicked him in the ass. Whoever said all that soccer practice had been a useless waste of her time?

He yelped in pain. The bell rang and all he could do was glare at her and ignore the taunts of the other kids. “Just remember payback’s a bitch,” he muttered still rubbing his behind. He went to his first period, which was math, and sat in the seat as far back as possible. As soon as he sat down he immediately jumped up in pain. “Dumb wench.”

“Don’t tell me, Kari,” his friend Mark took the desk next to him.

“How could you tell?”

“You had that face you always get when you’re thinking about her,” Mark said as he gazed at the girls filing into the classroom.

“Yah? And what’s that?”

“Lovesickness.”

“What? How can you even say that? I can’t sit because she kicked me so hard, and you got this bullcrap that I’ve got feelings for her? Well here’s a clue, I don’t and I won’t.” Isaac glared at him.

Mark just laughed, “Isaac and Kari sitting in a tree-.” Isaac clubbed him in the head in response.

Throughout the rest of class Isaac stewed on his revenge. He needed her to feel the same pain and humiliation he was right now. Finally he grinned, ‘Well Kari,’ he thought wickedly, ‘If you made it so I can’t sit, I’ll make it so you can’t stand.’

Speeding home from school, at the end of the day he went over the plans in his head. It was fool proof. According to Kari’s schedule, she spent fourth hour in a classroom two down from his fourth hour. He knew somewhere in the house there was a tube of super duper glue.
