unconditioned simplicity

i was saying-
“How are you?”
(you weren't really listening
were you?)
a hand to your
lips

eyes
gazing up to the sky

heart beating for
response(/respect?)
flashing anger
in my mind-
m i n e
i'm still trying
to understand
the simplicity in “fine”

expectations against reality
(i will love you forever
that's how i am)
But
i was the one
to breath in such
l i e s

-what you breath in
you must breath out

where is the “good” in “goodbye”?
so just, bye bye-
no longer existent (dead to me)
erased from my mind

-

the heart doesn't forget, it holds on

Please let go.
