Scene 1: Kiri's Room

The screen is black and there is a sound of pounding on a door. Kiri's mother ad libs telling her to wake up. A bed becomes visible and we get the first glimpse of our hero. She gets up and starts dressing, brushing her hair, etc., while her voice in a voiceover begins narration. Alternating with the video clips are opening credit sequences.

Kiri's Voice: Hello, my name is Kiri Daniels and I'm fifteen years old. I think these sorts of stories are supposed to start with me telling you all how ordinary I am and how average my life has been so far, but I've never been that great at lying. I read a lot, I'm always climbing trees, and I don't associate with people at school. There are very few students there who even know my first name. I don't really mind, though, because I have more interesting people to talk to, and that's what makes my life so odd.

Scene 2: The Kitchen

The screen goes momentarily dark and comes up on a shot of a toaster. Toast pops out of the top and Kiri takes it out. She puts each piece on its own plate and puts peanut butter on one piece and strawberry jam on the other. She sets them down on the table and we see that there is another place set already, with cereal and a glass of juice. She sits down and begins eating.

Jason: Hey Kiri!

Kiri looks up and smiles. We see the screen door. A semi-tranparent boy is standing on the other side.

Kiri: Hey Jason. Before you come in, would you call Maera for me? I don't want Mom to get mad at me for yelling.

Jason: Sure thing! Maera! Kiri's made toast! He walks through the screen and sits down in front of the peanut buttered toast. When he picks it up, it becomes transparent as well. He starts eating.

Kiri: So how are things going?

Jason: Pretty good. My trial is schedueled for tomorrow night.

Kiri: Good! So you'll know for sure if you're getting into Heaven by then?

Jason: Yeah. I think there's a good chance.

Kiri: Well, good luck, kid. I'll miss you when you go.

Jason: I'll come visit, don't worry! It wouldn't be Heaven if I didn't get to see you!

Kiri: Aw, you're sweet.

The screen door is slammed open and a girl in bright shorts and a tee-shirt whirls in.

Kiri: Hi, Maera.

Maera: Hi Kiri! I got here as fast as I could. Did Jason say you made toast?

Kiri: Yep. Go ahead and eat.

Maera triumphantly picks up the strawberry jammed toast and eats ravenously. Kiri and Jason watch her, smiling. Maera finishes the toast and sighs happily.

Maera: Thank you so much! You have no idea what kind of garbage Persephone's got us eating! Everything's pure and uncooked and so natural! Sometimes a girl wants a meal instead of a salad, you know? She collapses into her chair, sighing dramatically.

Kiri: How soon is the Autumn Ball over?

Maera: Three days, and then I won't have to deal with the boss again until the beginning of winter. Thank god! ...Oops, sorry Jason.

Jason: No problem.

Kiri: So you'll be able to get back to your normal job soon.

Maera: Yep! She smiles. Nothin' like dancing in the seasons.

Kiri nods.

Jason: What's up, Kiri? You seem a bit distracted.

Kiri: I dunno, I just have this feeling that something weird is going to happen today. It could be nothing, but...

Maera: Kiri, you know better than to dismiss a hunch like that! Someone with your abilities is very in tune with the flow of time. Don't disregard it. Something's going to happen today.

Jason: This has happened before, hasn't it?

Kiri: Yeah, you're right. She pauses and looks contemplative. I'll keep a lookout.

Maera: Good.

Kiri finishes her cereal and stands up.

Kiri: I'd love to stay and talk with you guys, but I have to head out. I'll see you after school, okay?

The three of them ad lib goodbyes. Jason quickly finishes his toast and he and Maera leave. Kiri shuts the door, rinses her dishes, leaves the house, etc., as her voice takes up narration again.

Kiri's Voice: As you probably guessed, that wasn't what most people think of as a normal encounter. Jason Pyke is a ghost waiting to learn if he goes to Heaven or Hell. Maera is a tree spirit, a dryad, and the local representative of Persephone, the Greek Goddess of the seasons. They're spiritual beings, and I don't know of anyone else who can see or hear them. They're not the only weird things I see floating around; there's also spiritual power, demons, angels, ley lines, and other things that are normally hidden to the human eye. That's why I'm so unordinary; that's also why the adventure of my life got started.

Scene 3: School

Kiri's teacher walks around the class, returning tests. Kiri's is placed on her desk, face down. She picks it up and looks at it; her score is very high. She slips it into her bag. Around her, her classmates start complaining about their lousy test scores.

The shot cuts to the hallway. Kiri is walking away from her locker with her backpack on. She walks past a group of students standing against the wall. One of them sticks out her foot and trips Kiri, who falls to the floor.

Girl: Looks like you get an A in klutziness, Daniels, just like in everything else you do. Her friends laugh.

Blasius: How about you leave her alone?

The girl and her friends turn around and see a boy standing in the hallway, his arms crossed.

Girl: And who are you, her boyfriend? Kiri rolls her eyes dramatically.

Blasius: I don't have to be her boyfriend to know that she's being bullied, and I really hate bullies. He uncrosses his arms and advances on the girls. He and the lead girl glare into each other's eyes, but she looks away first.

Girl: Whatever. Let's go, guys. The pack of girls moves off. Blasius approaches Kiri, offering her a hand up. She ignores him and gets up on her own, dusting off her pants.

Kiri: Thank you for your help, but I can handle myself.

Blasius: I know you can, Kiri. That's why I need to talk to you. Kiri is slightly stunned.

Kiri: How did you learn my name? And what reason do I have to talk to a complete stranger?

Blasius: Please, can I just explain? It's a complicated story.

Kiri: Fine. But first, who are you?

Blasius sits down against the wall. Kiri stands in front of him, waiting.

Blasius: My name is Blasius. I'm a member of a special forces team called Angelus. The leader of the team sent me here, to find you.

Kiri: And Angelus is interested in me because?

Blasius: Because Angelus knows about your spiritual abilities, and we want you to help us.

Kiri stares at him, shocked, then slowly sits down beside Blasius.

Kiri: Okay... I think you'd better tell me the whole story.

Blasius: Angelus was officially created by an Ottawa police agent whose name I'm not permitted to reveal. He had been investigating a series of museum break-ins around the city. It was an odd case because nothing had been stolen, but a valuable item or a small number of them from each museum had been shattered. He couldn't find a single clue and was on the verge of giving up.

Kiri: "Officially?" It wasn't him who really created Angelus, was it?

Blasius: No, it wasn't. It was his daughter. She did a some research on the artifacts and discovered that they could all be traced, centuries back, to an area in Europe. Close reseach on the area itself revealed that there had been legends circulating for years about a group of noble-blooded witches who had stored their power in their personal effect, jewels, swords...

Kiri: The same artifacts that were destroyed in the museums.

Blasius: Exactly. The power was very strong, and when the artifacts were shattered it was released to be collected up by whoever was nearest. There were also a lot of items; each witch had multiple magic-storage items, and there were hundreds of witches. They're now scattered across the world, some in museums, some in private collections. And they're all being hunted by these power-thieves.

Kiri: So what did the police agent's daughter do?

Blasius: She urged her father to create a special team to look for the power-thieves and presented him with her evidence. He didn't believe her, but she pointed out that according to the legends, there was unpredictable weather and odd earth tremors in the area for a few days after the power had been used. He couldn't deny that things like that had been happening since the museum break-ins started, so he gave in; Angelus was born. His daughter became the unofficial leader of the team and took the code name "Sindonia" in order to keep her indentity secret.

Kiri: Blasius is a code name, isn't it?

Blasius: Yes. Everyone in Angelus has one.

There is a pause in the conversation.

Kiri: This is a lot to absorb, but I think I got it all. Where do I fit in here?

Blasius: Sindonia believes that you could track down the power-thieves by following their stolen spiritual power. She sent me to ask for your help.

Kiri: How did she find out about me?

Blasius: The recruits for Angelus consist entirely of children and teenagers. We are more attuned to spiritual power than adults. Sindonia especially is particularly strong.

Kiri: And, let me guess, I don't really have much of a choice about joining, do I? Blasius look uncomfortable.

Blasius: No, you don't. But I'd really rather not have to force you.

Kiri: I'll do it. This is national security, or something like it. How often does a fifteen-year-old get to help with that?

Blasius: Thank you. He stands up and offers Kiri his hand. This time she accepts it. The two of them begin walking down the hall.

Kiri: How close to finding the power-thieves are we? I can't track them if they aren't in my radius.

Blasius: We've had contact with them in Ottawa and now here. They know what we want and they're trying to avoid us. The upshot is that they're mostly teenagers, too, for the same reason as us, and we have transportation and backup provided by Sindonia's father. They don't.

Kiri: We'll find them, then.

Blasius looks at her in a puzzled manner.

Blasius: You're taking this rather well. Kiri shrugs.

Kiri: These kinds of things are normal to me. I talk to a ghost and a dryad on a daily basis. Stolen magic and witches isn't any odder to me than that.

Blasius: No, I suppose not. Blasius pulls a cell phone out of his pocket. I'm going to call Sindonia and let her know that I was successful. She'll want to meet you.

Kiri: Go ahead. Blasius punches a number into his phone and puts it to his ear.

Blasius: Hi, Sindonia? "Yes. Blasius?" Yeah, it's me. "How did your mission go?" I found Kiri Daniels. She's agreed to join. "Good. Bring her along to the base. I want to see her and give her more information." Right. See you in a few minutes. He closes the phone and puts it back in his pocket. Sindonia wants me to take you to our Kingston base.

Kiri smiles.

Kiri: Lead on.

Scene 4: Angelus Kingston Base

Kiri and Blasius are walking through an office building. Blasius opens one of the doors and enters, Kiri behind him. A girl about their age is sitting at a computer.

Sindonia: Kiri Daniels?

Kiri: Yes, that's me.

Sindonia stands up and shakes Kiri's hand.

Sindonia: I'm glad you came. We're in need of your help. Blasius, you've done well. I need you to get back to your job now.

Blasius: Thank you, ma'am.

Kiri: See ya, Blasius.

Blasius: Goodbye. He turns and walks out of the room.

Kiri: Where is he going? The two girls sit down.

Sindonia: He'll be heading off to his guard post at one of Kingston's museums. Tomorrow night I'd like you to take one of the posts as well. If there is a break-in at your post, you will call for backup on a phone that will be provided for you and you will attempt to stop the perpetrator from obtaining the artifact they are after. If a call is made to you for backup, you will leave your post and go to the assistance of whomever has called you.

Kiri: What about tracking them?

Sindonia: How close to them do you have to be in order to feel their aura?

Kiri: It's not feeling, it's seeing. I'll be able to see the power in them.

Sindonia: In that case, when you see them, you will attempt to hold them until backup arrives. If you are unable to hold them, you will follow them and report to me where you are. I will send one of our older agents after you in a car.

Kiri: What about my mom? She won't want me out late, especially not without a reason.

Sindonia: I will have one of my father's agents speak with her. You will take the eight to twelve shift at the RMC Museum, guarding a particular sword. If you'd like, I will provide you with a ride home today, and a ride to and from your shift tomorrow night. She stands up.

Kiri: Thank you, I'd appreciate that. They shake hands again.

Sindonia: You've made the right choice, Kiri. Welcome to the Angelus.

Scene 5: Backyard

Maera: You mean you won't be here in the evenings?

Kiri: I'm sorry. But I've been given a job, and it's important. These criminals could be very dangerous.

Jason: But Kiri! My trial is tomorrow night! I won't be able to say goodbye if you're on guard duty. He sighs. I want you to at least know if I make it into Heaven.

Kiri: I know, and I'm really sorry, Jason. But I already know you're going to go to Heaven.

Jason: Thanks, Kiri... but I wanted to be able to say goodbye to you properly.

Kiri: I'm sorry, kid... but I have to do this.

Maera and Jason sigh. Jason fades out and Maera walks away, somewhat disappointed in Kiri. Kiri looks after her sadly. How Does it Feel starts playing in the background.

Scene 6: Mixed Images

As How Does it Feel plays in the background, we see Kiri arriving at the Museum, looking at a particular sword, sitting in the dark in the Museum, sitting at her table in the morning with an untouched plate of strawberry jammed toast near her, at the Museum again, walking alone at school, talking with Blasius and Sindonia, and at the Museum again as the music fades out.

Scene 7: Museum

Kiri sits by a display cabinet in the Museum, unmoving. She glances at her watch; it is around 10 o'clock. She sighs.

Kiri: Another long night...

Suddenly there is the sound of a door opening. Cautiously, Kiri gets up and looks down the stairs. There is the sound of footsteps. They start coming towards Kiri's room. Kiri ducks behind a display counter and pulls out her cell phone. She dials a number.

Kiri: Sindonia, some people have just come in to the museum. "They broke in?" No, the door was locked, but they just walked right in. "Are you sure it was locked?" Yes, I checked it myself. I need backup. "Try to hold them as long as you can, or, failing that, go after them." Right. I'll keep you updated. She closes the phone.

The people walk into the room where Kiri is. Kiri steps in front of the cabinet.

Kija: Ah, so there is someone here... I was beginning to think the Angelus was losing its touch. She smirks.

Kiri: Who are you?

Kija: My name is Kija Sarantian. Don't ever forget it.

Kiri: How did you get in here, Miss Kija Sarantian? That door was locked.

Kija: I have a... friend... who's good with locks. He opened it for me.

Kiri: You mean him? She indicates the other person, who is hunched over and wearing a cloak. He starts, then flickers and vanishes. He wasn't expecting to be seen, at least not by me, was he?

Kija: So, you can see power too... Kija looks contemplative. She walks over to Kiri, takes her chin in her hand, and turns her face around. She lets go. You must be a new recruit... Well, while dealing with Angelus, just remember, history is always written by the powerful.

Kiri: What do you mean by that? She crosses her arms.

Kija: The Angelus must have told you what I'm doing... and why they want to stop me... right? Or did they just dump you here with no info?

Kiri: They told me.

Kija: Ah, but did they? Did they ever tell you where the power actually comes from? Kiri stares at her silently. No, I didn't think so... they don't know.

Kiri: And you do?

Kija: I do. That power was stolen from the earth... right out of the earth's lifeforce. The witches took it and bent it to their own uses. She pauses. A little bit of power stolen wouldn't mean much. But they took so much that the earth couldn't make up for it. The earth is dying, and not just because of pollution. The earth has lost some of its life. My friends and I aren't using that power ourselves. We're giving it back to the earth.

Kiri: You're lying.

Kija: Oh, am I? Look at me. If you can see power, you can tell that there isn't any in me.

Kiri: How can I believe you, power or no? How can I tell that the power really does belong to the earth? You're a criminal. I'm sure you know how to lie.

Kija: Brush your hand against that sword. That will pull out the power. I can prove it to you.

Kiri: I won't be taken in that easily. It'll shatter.

Kija: It only shatters if you take all the power; it's been tied to the sword for so long that without it, its molecular structure collapses. Just take a little bit.

Hesitantly, Kiri touches the blade, snatching her hand back right away.

Kija: Go outside. Touch one of the dead grass patches.

Kiri: Walk in front of me. I want you where I can see you.

Kija shrugs and walks ahead of Kiri outside. Kiri crouches and touches her hand to the dead grass. There is a flash of blue light. Kiri withdraws her hand and the previously dead patch of grass has sprouted green. She stares at it.

Kija: Do you believe me now?

Kiri stares at the ground silently.

Kiri: I'm going to talk to Angelus.

Kija: What?

Kiri: I'm going to talk to them. You're doing the right thing... even though the law says otherwise. I need to convince them of that. I can talk to Sindonia after school tomorrow...

Kija stares at her in shock for a second, then laughs.

Kija: You're really serious... She pulls a pen out of her pocket. Here's my number, kid... I think you might need it. She scribbles a number down on Kiri's hand, then puts the pen back. Suddenly there is a sound of running footsteps. What's that?

Kiri: Backup.

Kija starts running and goes out one of the tunnels. Kiri chases after her and looks out the tunnel exit. Kija is nowhere to be seen. Blasius comes up behind her, out of breath.

Blasius: I saw you run in here... did they get away with the power?

Kiri: She didn't take any power... but I can't see where she went.

Blasius: Damn! Well, I should get back to my post, then. I don't think they'll strike again tonight, but you never know. He turns to leave.

Kiri: Blasius?

Blasius: What is it?

Kiri: Have you ever met Kija Sarantian?

Blasius: So it was her here tonight? Yes, I've met her... she's a deceptive, crafty character. She tried to convince me that she was doing the right thing... that taking this power was for the good of the earth. He snorts.

Kiri: What if... she was telling the truth?

Blasius: Don't worry about it. She's a criminal who's just trying to convince you otherwise. She wants you to be uncertain about what you're doing, so that she can take advantage of you.

Kiri: No... I think she wanted me to be very certain. She wants me to know exactly what I'm doing.

Blasius: What?

Kiri is silent, staring at the patch of ground that used to be dead. Blasius glances at her, concerned.

Scene 8: Angelus Kingston Base

Blasius enters Sindonia's office. Sindonia is sitting at the desk.

Blasius: Sindonia, I think we might need to keep an eye on Kiri.

Sindonia: What happened?

Brief cut to Kiri entering the building.

Blasius: She encountered Kija Sarantian last night. I arrived to provide backup and Sarantian had escaped. You remember what she told me that one time we met?

Sindonia: How she was doing the right thing and helping the earth, as I recall.

Cut to Kiri walking up the stairs.

Blasius: Yes... I think she told some of that to Kiri.

Kiri approaches the office.

Sindonia: You think she's likely to defect?

Blasius: I'm not sure. She said something odd... Sarantian wants her to know exactly what she's doing.

Sindonia: You're right, that's rather suspicious. Thank you for bringing it to me. We'll keep her under surveillance until we can be sure of her.

Kiri turns and walks quickly away.

Scene 9: Kiri's Bedroom/Power-Thieves Kingston Base

Kiri sits on her bed silently. Finally she glances at her hand where Kija wrote her number. She picks up a phone and dials it.

Cut to Power-Thieves Kingston Base. Kija's phone rings. She picks it up.

Kija: Hello?

Cut to Kiri's bedroom.

Kiri: Kija Sarantian?

Kija: Yes?

Kiri: It's Kiri Daniels.

Kija: Who?

Kiri:She half-laughs. The Angelus recruit.

Cut to Power-Thieves Kingston Base.

Kija: Right. Nice name, kid. So, you did need this number after all.

Cut to Kiri's bedroom.

Kiri: I need your help. Sindonia won't believe me, and I can't keep working for them. You're the good guys here, and if I want to help you, I have to join the outlaws. But Angelus is suspicious, and they're putting me under surveillance. I can't get out of here without them finding me.

Kija: Tell you what. Go to school tomorrow like you normally do, but sneak a few things in; cash, clothes, whatever you need to bring. You're running away from home, but be discreet.

Cut to Power-Thieves Kingston Base.

Kija: I'll find you at school, and you'll vanish right out from under their noses.

Cut to Kiri's bedroom.

Kiri: ... Okay. I'll see you tomorrow. She closes the phone, then looks over at her desk bank.

Scene 10: School/Power-Thieves Kingston Base

Kiri arrives at school and walks inside. She looks back, but she can't see anyone. She walks past a hallway.

Kija: Kiri!

Kiri turns around. Kija has poked her head out the hallway she just passed. Kiri hurries over to her.

Kiri: Let's go quickly.

Kiri and Kija hurry through the hall. They go down a staircase.

Kiri: Your hideout is in my school basement?

Kija: Yeah, no one comes down here.

Kija opens the basement door. Two other girls are in there.

December: Kija, you're back! So this is our new member?

Kija: Yeah, this is Kiri. Kiri, this is December, and that's Emma over there.

Kiri: Are the rest of the group out on raids?

December: No. We're it. These are the mighty Power-Thieves, every one of them.

Kiri: That's it? You've been causing so much trouble for Angelus, they're sure there's a militia of you.

Emma:She peers suspiciously at Kiri. Are you sure she's not an Angelus spy?

Kija:She laughs. No. But we can deal with her if she is.

Kiri sighs and sits down. December sits beside her, smiling.

December: We should just trust her.

Kiri: Thanks.

Kija sits down against the far wall and closes her eyes.

Kiri: Is she okay?

December: She was out late last night, on a raid. She smiles a bit.

Kiri: She looks exhausted.

Emma: We usually just let her sleep.

Kiri: Okay. There is a slightly awkward silence. So, what do you guys do? Do you go on raids with Kija?

December: She handles all the power herself.

Emma: She's the only one who can see it. She finds it, we help her get to it.

December: We do more of the technical side, backup and electronics and stuff.

Emma: Although Kija has someone who helps her get in and disable things if we can't do it.

Kiri: I saw him. He was a bit surprised, though, and left.

Emma: You can see him? Kija said that only she can...

Kiri: I have the same power as her... at least, I think it's the same.

December: Well, that helps. We can go on more raids at a time. Angelus won't expect it, at least.

Kiri: Doesn't it bother you, being criminals?

December: Yeah, a bit... but when Kija approached us about it half a year ago, we couldn't say no.

Kiri: Why not?

Emma: She's our friend. She showed us what the power could do for the earth.

December: We just wanted to help. This is our planet, after all.

Emma: And Kija's a really great person... we believe in what she's doing.

Kiri: Yeah... she is a great person. Kiri looks over at Kija. Believe Again starts playing in the background.

Scene 11: Mixed Images

As Believe Again plays in the background, we see Kiri talking with December and Emma, Kija and her lockpick breaking into a museum, Blasius talking urgently on the phone, Kija stumbling into the base and Kiri catching her, December bandaging Kija's forearm, Sindonia looking somewhat angrily at a paper on her desk, Kiri sitting outside by a tree, a "flashback" of Maera, Kiri running her hands over the grass, Kija showing the group a piece of paper with a map drawn on it and pointing out where they're going, and the four of them walking down the street in a row as the music fades out.

While the music fades out, this dialogue appears in voiceover.

Kija: We've got one museum left to cover, and then we're out of the city. Fortunately, the security is pretty low, but we know someone from Angelus will be there. We're all going.

Emma: Where do we have to break in?

Kija: Why, RMC Museum, of course. I was busy converting Kiri when I went there the last time.

Scene 12: Museum

The group is standing outside the entrance to the museum. Kija's lockpick goes up the stairs and presses his hand against the door, then vanishes. Kija, December, and Kiri race in. Emma stays out by the entrance, holding a walkie-talkie. December stops inside, at the base of the stairs. Kiri and Kija run upstairs and fan out.

Kiri sees Blasius standing by the cabinet.

Kiri: Blasius...

Blasius: What are you doing here, Kiri?

Kiri: I'm here to do what I have to.

Blasius: Don't tell me you believed what Kija told you.

Kija: She did believe. She comes around a cabinet. And for good reason. I'm telling the truth.

Blasius: You can't get away. I've called for backup already, and they're on their way.

Beneath the Skin starts playing in the background.

Kija: We were counting on that.

Kiri lunges at Blasius. Startled, he drops. Kija darts past him to the sword. Blasius scrambles for her foot, but Kiri yanks him away and tries to pin his arms. He struggles with her.

Blasius: How could you, Kiri?

Kija reaches for the sword.

Blasius: You were on our side. How could you betray us? He gets his arms away from Kiri and forces her down.

Kija's hand touches the blade of the sword.

Kiri: I had to, Blasius.

Kija collapses on the floor, crying out.

Kiri: Because Kija told the truth! She shoves him off of her, winding him, and runs to Kija, supporting her. The blade shatters. December, Emma! Help!

December runs up the stairs and helps Kiri get Kija to the stairway. Emma runs up just after, just in time to tackle Blasius back. Emma and December block him from Kiri and Kija as they go down the stairs to get outside. Kiri helps Kija down the entry stairs, ad libbing encouragement. Kija has trouble standing upright. Finally they make it to the ground, just as Blasius and the other two girls emerge from the entryway. Kija presses her hands to the ground.

Beneath the Skin cuts off abruptly and there is no sound for a few seconds. Suddenly, there is a blast of blue light and the sound resumes. The light blasts past Blasius, who shields his eyes, and December and Emma, who watch in awe.

Brief cut to Kiri's backyard. Maera is sleeping on the ground. She sits up very fast and her eyes get wide. She scoops up a handful of dirt from the garden.

Maera: It's so... alive!

Cut back to the museum. The light fades. Blasius slowly drops his hand with a look of utter atonishment on his face. Kija collapses.

Kiri: Kija... Kija, are you okay?

Kija slowly rolls over and opens her eyes. She sits up and Kiri pounces on her.

Kiri: Kija, I was so scared! You looked like you were about to explode!

Kija: Kiri, I'm okay. I'm okay.

Kiri: Kija... I really... She glances away. ... care about you. You can't go getting yourself killed.

Kija smiles, then lightly kisses Kiri on the cheek. She gets up and holds out her hand to Kiri, who is staring up at her, shocked.

Kija: Let's go.

The two girls walk past the entry to the museum. Blasius runs down in front of them.

Blasius: I'll talk... I'll talk to Sindonia. I'm sorry, Kiri... you were right. Kija was right.

Kiri: Thanks, Blasius. She looks back over her shoulder. Come on, girls! Bigger Than Me starts playing in the background, quietly.

December and Emma run down the stairs and join Kiri and Kija. The four of them walk out of the museum. Blasius watches after them. Kiri and Kija look at each other and smile.

Kiri Voice: Hi, my name is Kiri Sarantian, and I haven't gotten any less ordinary than the last time I checked. But now, my life is even more interesting. I'm about to head off on a great adventure; I'm on a misson to heal our planet earth. But I'm not going alone.

The music gets louder as the camera focuses on Kiri and Kija's intertwined hands. The shot freezes and fades out. The credits roll up the screen.
