Jak and Daxter has been my favorite series of video game ever since I heard about it. Naughty Dog, Inc. created the series Jak and Daxter. The first J&D game, Jak and Daxter: the Precursor Legacy was made on October 2001, with a new insight on platforming. The two main characters, Jak, the happy-go-lucky hero, and Daxter, the ever-complaining sidekick started out their story by traveling to Misty Island even when the Green Eco Sage, Samos Hagai, told them not to. There they discover a terrible plot to flood the world with Dark Eco- a fatal substance in their world, which destroys anything it touches.
As they began to explore the area, one of the villain’s minions- a Lurker- confronts them and as Jak throws an ancient bomb artifact to kill it, he accidentally bumps Daxter into a vat of Dark Eco, which turns him into an ottsel (small creature that is a cross between an otter and a weasel). The two buddies travel north throughout the land to seek for a cure to turn Daxter back into a human. Unfortunately, they had to choose between saving the world, or turning Daxter back to a human. Fortunately, they choose saving the world and defeat Gol and Maia. Jak, Daxter, Samos, and Keira (Samos’ daughter) find an ancient Rift Gate, and begins Jak II.
In Jak II, it continues off to the party’s discovery, who are readying to venture into a new land. Just as they are about to depart, Jak presses a button that activates the Rift Rider, opening up the large Rift Gate. Suddenly, a huge monstrous behemoth-later known as Metal Kor- breaks through, questioningly saying “You cannot hide from me, boy!” Everyone panics, and the Rift Rider drives off a ramp and into the portal. They got through the rift gate, and the party becomes separated. When Jak crashes, they find themselves in a strange place later known as Haven City.
Erol, the commander of the Krimzon Guard, kidnaps Jak and take him to a prison and torment him for two years. When Daxter breaks him out, he discovers that Jak has changed… a lot. Jak wants revenge against the Baron, and ends up having to find his friends, redeem self-control, and save the world.
