Monotony

I step outside myself

I watch my hopeless efforts at life

Yet I can't stop myself from the same

The life I forged I can not change

I try to evolve into a new being

I know that life gives me happiness

But I always wish to change myself

The monotony is to much to bare

Yet I cannot change the path I've chosen

And I think this is the failure of all mortals

And hopefully they may learn from my faults

Before they fall into the same deadly pit

Before they lose themselves in monotony
