My Rebellious and Unrequited Heart

Blessed be the night

The dark, twilight stars

Shimmering in your eyes

My heart flutters at your smile

Your laugh

Sweet and kind

It makes me laugh too

I’m shameful

This love I feel

Is hollow and forbidden

I shouldn’t but I do

Standing in the mist

The eerie rain is

Consoling like

Your voice

Is it love I feel

Or just companionship?

Is this unrequited love

Or a true friendship?

Tears and depression

This is forbidden

Impossible

You can’t love me

Nobody does

Though, I still enjoy

Each embrace

You are my

Rebel Angel.

And so for you, I will rebel.
