-1The Night Shall Not Be Easy

Wind, wailing, wuthering wind

Blowing blustery, reddening faces all round

Wind, terrible wind, of what it portends

A storm, so angry, it will cry unto the ground

Blackening sky

Flashing lightning

Rumbling thunder

The night shall not be easy

Wind, howling, shrieking now

The rain begins to fall, lashing

Thin skin, making all screech ow

And still the storm comes on, seeming to be crashing

Blackening sky

Flashing lightning

Rumbling thunder

The night shall not be easy

The rain opened, but now begins the hail

Dropping, destroying, denting, oh, unfortunate all

Sounds are getting louder, making the small ones quail

Take cover, take cover, into the bathroom hall

Blackening sky

Flashing lightning

Rumbling thunder

The night shall not be easy

Now comes Nature’s Fury,

The epitome of vengeance

Come to take all those unwary

All she asks is temperance

Lightening sky

Receding lightning

Distant thunder

The night was not easy

Cheery song, rising sun comes to perceive

All nature hath wrought

All emerge thankful for reprieve

Though few remember the lesson that was taught
