Dancing in rags

on bloodied feet

with a body

bruised and torn

a twisted ballerina

a broken doll,

twirling in darkness.

Eyes glowing black,

an irresolute grin

arms flying askew

legs thrown wild

and her coldness

chilled the earth.

Dancing in tatters

face shining with

an unworldly light

gazing in undisguised

wonder, having nothing

to lose, after

losing almost everything.

Her dance similar

to mine, though

not quite, for

she is still

going strong and

Me,

I have died.
