Here I am, returning,

waiting as I fly across

the uncounted miles, flying

into your open arms, listening

to your soothing whispers,

yet knowing that I never can.

Dwelling on my bitter thoughts,

my useless dreams and wistful

fantasies; so close to me

that I can reach out and

touch your arms, your face,

yet so far, so remote, the

highest point on the sheerest

cliff is more accessible.
