Waiting for the prince to return

While the flame still burns

My path is still lighted

After the rain ignited

Not really sure what should I do

I can’t fool anyone

Not even you

Still my guitar

Slowly fades

Into the distance

And erased

Can it be, that I tried to hard

When will I see?

You can’t always see far

Never know

Just how you’ll die

Until you look into death’s eyes

Waiting for the prince to show

Waiting for the prince to go

And take us all away

Running down a empty street

Saying goodbye to everyone I meet

Is it destiny?

To lay down and sleep

Or to leave treasure

For someone else to reap

Is it my soul?

That is on fire

Or is it my bold

My bold desire

To return to the place I love

When I meet the prince above

Waiting for the prince to show

Can’t wait, I am ready to go

And see my father again

Tell me it’s a nightmare

Or another dream

That he hasn’t gone there

And its not what it seems

But then I take another look

It’s all written in the old book

Is it all real or is it all fake

Is it nothing or is it heaven’s sake

Waiting for the prince to show

That’s what everyone has been telling me so

You’ll see him again in another world

When you’re buried in the earth’s soil
