Lost Tears

Summary: A young girl is found freezing to death. A woman keeps seeing flashes of another life. They just may be the missing pieces of each others' past. Rated K for now but might turn to an M if requested. :)

Prologue: Unexpected Meeting

Clinging to my ragged shirt, I realize that I don’t have a clue as to where I ended up. I just remember running, and running, without a particular destination. It just hurt inside, and my mind probably figured that I needed warmth by the way I was shivering.

I was walking along the street, wiping my face every other minute, feeling the wet snow against my face. It was snowing, not very hard, but enough to slightly impair my vision. I stopped for a while to catch my breath, and then I saw movement from the other side of the street. I went to investigate, and found a girl huddled there. She was wearing very dirty clothes, but, from the looks of it, she was wealthy. Her clothes were made of silk, with elaborate designs and gold buttons.

Kneeling beside her, I could see that she was beautiful. Snow white skin, heart-shaped face, long lashes, red lips, the whole wealthy-beauty package. As I was wondering what to do about her, she helped me make my decision.

“Tasukete…”

I couldn’t feel my fingers anymore, although I was certain that I saw an angel cradling me. A hallucination she may be, but I was grateful for being found. I felt sleep claiming me, but before I passed out, I managed to say, “Help me…”

A/N: I’m sorry if this is awfully short, it was just a thought that was begging to be written right now, and I couldn’t ignore it anymore. I don’t know if this will be a one-shot or not, please review so I would know what you think. If you are intrigued by it, please say so, and I will post the next chapter, but if not, please say why. I still don't have a clear idea as to where this might lead me, and suggestions are more than welcome. Arigatou :) Oh, and by the way, you may have figured it out, but I will say it for the convenience of others. Rosuto means 'lost', namida means 'tears' and Tasukete means ‘Help me’. I don't know if I got the grammar right for the title, because I am not fluent in Japanese. So thank you for reading, and now it's time to let me know what you think:)
