The 28th 29th
It was not ‘til the end of school that I learned
A terrible, unforgivable mistake made,
One that cannot be righted with ease
In all the time: hours, minutes, months, days
I have not once been wrong
Yet today as near another paper I came
Saw I that I erred,
This blunder is unforgivable
I lost a day…
To you this seems improbable bordering on impossible
Still it’s true
Then say you that days are small
Not significant at all and they flee quickly
Like the balloon towards the sun
But let me remind you what harm that
Balloon does cause when lost
Perhaps it encountered a bird and bid it good-day
The bird easily shocked, as almost all birds are,
Squawked and squeaked, while at that time
It does get caught on her beak
With a loud pop, the petrified bird soon
Falls and lands near the road, to be seen by all
Much ado for a day
