The Card Trick

Telephone lines stretching for miles and your name on my wrist – I’ve come to exist in only your smile. The curve of your lips and matching hips are how I know you knew this was going to happen. (kiss me once, kiss me twice, take a chance and roll the dice). We’re not only plying games with fate, it’s playing games with us. And the light overhead only exists so I’d fall in love with you. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. (shuffle the cards and stack the deck – your face tucked into the side of my neck). The way we’re cheating time is only ever going to catch up to us in the game of hearts. And this is how we were meant to be – forever, baby, you and me.
