There's this thing called trust

And I must admit I'm quite new to it

I don't know what to do with it

But that's what we've agreed to

Silently our hearts beat on

-

My heart sings this song

"Silly thing" her older sister thinks

But such a sweet song

Begs my ears to hear

And I take to the floor

Dancing a step I've never known before

With you leading the way

It's easy to say….

Say, say, sway, sway

On the dance floor

Pretty lights dazzle my young eyes

My head is light

My heart beat strong

My knees are weak …

… Is something wrong?

-

In the cold night air

Under star filled skies

The bright glazed look

In your blue-green eyes

And like a cloak your warmth

Keeps the cold off my back

And future seem far way

As this moment lasts forever

…till morning come…

What have we done?

Yet a child in the face of eternity

Hoping for forever after

With you…

-

So many things to come

So many things to be done

So much in our way

Do you even feel the same way?

Will the years bring us closer?

Is that even possible?

There's this thing called trust

The dark blindfold around my eyes

As we lead the way together

Not knowing where we're going

But hoping always hoping

-

Do you feel the same?

Will you want to come again?

Will you even have too?

I feel I have you here

Deep inside my heart

You're the man who

Beats this drum

You're the one making this music

In my soul.

Will you come again?

Will you even have too?

I don't believe you will leave

Because of this mysterious thing called trust

I'm quite new to it

But I get the just

Its ties a bow around our love

And leads us

Blindly to the future

We were intimidated by … before.

-

My heart sings this song

"Silly thing" her older sister thinks

But such a sweet song

Begs my ears to hear

And take to the floor.
