Summer came and passed like a breeze

I painted a picture with grace and with ease

When fall came around I sat on the deck

My turtleneck sweater hung close to me neck

In winter the snow came and clouded the earth

Pumpkin-scented candles sat lit on the hearth

And now it is Spring and my memories remain

They follow me as flowers follow the rain

And when the rain comes down hard, I hold on steadfast

Until the stormy night has passed

And when the day is clear with the scent of fresh dew

I know that it was worth everything to be able to remember you.
