Trying something new here...
Lost Files from Section 23 Alpha
Entry: June 9, 2007 DAY SHIFT
---Posted by: Captain Bruce Manell
Okay, guys, we have a situation here. This girl was killed at her house in Malibu, California and we barely had any clues. Apparently she died of a gunshot wound. However, it seems that the killer is just teasing us. He mailed in some answering machine recordings a few days ago, and the recordings prove that we are dealing with something really serious here. Please respond if you have any info or suggestions. Every day we brainstorm on this situation brings us closer to nabbing this psycho killer.
-TRANSCRIPT 1. Time: 20:30 Date: June 8, 2007
Killer: "Greetings. You do not know me but I know you.I have been watching you for the past few days, and I have to say…that was the last day you will ever see light. For the dark has arrived, and me along with it. Let's see here…Madeline Watson, twenty years old. Lives at the address of 230 Huntington Dr in a nice white single-story house with some bushes in the front. Engaged to Mr. Davey Gregson Hamilton, aged thirty-five. Heheheh…exactly the scenario I was hoping for. Ms. Watson, let me ask you a question: Do you enjoy those snappy thrillers on TV? Don't answer that question, dear, since I can't hear you. Yet."
Long pause
Killer: "Tonight will be your ultimate test. Can you strive to survive? Or will you be chopped down like the ones before you? I would personally enjoy the latter, but I think you strongly pull for the former. Don't worry, dear, for I am here. If you listened this far, then I can only assume you are interested. That…or too scared to push the 'end' button. Well, because you listened this far in to my personal world, I will tell you something exclusive: I'm excited as hell."
-END TRANSCRIPT 1.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

sir, you are as baffled as I am. But I believe that I know a few points that can help in this investigation.
The killer has been stalking madeline watson for a long time. best gues is about three months.
he says "chopped down like the ones before you". that means he has done this before. recommend extracting other files of cases similar to this one.
maybe we should bring in davey gregson hamilton. he should be our first suspect.
what does the killer sound like?
we need to answer those questions before we can continue.

Yo! I think this is the most creepy case we ever tried to crack so far! Nice! Oh, and by the way, I got these wicked scissors I bought from Wal-Mart for only two bucks! Woo!

What the hell are you doing here, Doug? I thought you were detained.
---Posted by Cadet Doug Delgadillo
No I was not. It wasn't my fault anyway.
---Posted by Officer Allen Zaring
Sir, we got a strange persons call about 6:00 AM a few days before this incident happened. We went to the address, 1012 Heeler Parkway, and found a strange old man sitting on the edge of the curb. He was hugging a teddy bear and looked kind of wary. We sent him to a homeless shelter. I had to bring this to attention, sir, because Heeler Parkway intersects Huntington Dr. a few blocks away from yesterday's crime scene.

Dude, that is so rad. If I had an air guitar, I'd be strummin away.
---Posted by Captain Bruce Manell
Noted, Officer Zaring. I told Officer Hernandez to bring me those recordings a few minutes ago. They should be here tomorrow.
---Posted by Detective Rudy Gu
Sir, my team is at the crime scene and we found some spent rounds for an FN Special Police Sniper Rifle in the house, which indicates two things. The killer somehow got his hands on a police-issue weapon, and that he fired it in the house. But why? It's a sniper rifle. He could have easily just sniped her from far away.

A sniper rifle? A POLICE-ISSUED sniper rifle?
--Posted by Detective Alick Rodney
It's actually FBI-issued, sir. More specifically SWAT. Thought you'd like to know.
---Posted by Captain Bruce Manell
Who are you, Rodney? When were you assigned to our unit?
--Posted by Detective Alick Rodney
I thought you knew already, sir. I was transferred here about two weeks ago via Commander Hinten.
---Posted by Captain Bruce Manell
Commander Hinten? Who's that? There's no 'Commander Hinten' in the server database…
---Posted by Captain Bruce Manell
I will go over this again: Do we have any more evidence of the crime scene? Someone willing to paint me a picture?
---Posted by Officer Harmon Lewis
yes sir. miss madeline watson was murdered at close range in her kitchen at about 12:31 AM on June 8, 2007. there is blood on the living room couch, in the kitchen sink, on the stairs, and on the kitchen floor of the house, suggesting struggle. possible murder weapon is an FN special police sniper rifle (bolt-action) used by fbi swat teams. possible suspects so far are david gregson hamilton and that old guy zaring sent to the shelter. sniper rounds were found in the kitchen. that's it so far.
---Posted by Officer Allen Zaring
I'll go to the Miss Daisy's Homeless Shelter right now to pick up the old man for questioning at HQ.
---Posted by Captain Bruce Manell
Roger that. We'll continue tomorrow. The night shift will take over.
