Do I blink?
Take a look, maybe I don’t
it’s been so long since I’ve closed my eyes
taking it all inside
I’m too numb to blink
my eyes too sore to see
I let all the light in
and there’s no room for darkness
but my heart is as black as coal
my soul as cold as ice
my blood as dark as the ocean’s abyss
my eyes are the only gates to light and freedom
Do I blink?
Please tell me I do
or else I’d die
I’d suffocate
