Moon people creep out of the elderly craters.
(And take lingering strolls in the firmament.)
Flesh reflects any and all thy radiance,
Luminescent eyes – lidless and unblinking.
They are known only to the minds of children,
(To the dreamers,)
And they are named Star.
You don’t know it,
(No, you don’t know it,)
But they smile down on those like us.

Be still my sweet, sweet darling,
Allow your weary irises to get lost under their covers.
Brush your lashes on your divine cheeks once more,
(And allow them to remain there tonight.)
In the morning I’ll hold to your charismatic sage gaze,
But now – choose to get lost in the feeling of me.
I’ll brush away the vagrant locks that tickle your perfect cheeks,
To kiss thy lips. (Seductive, ravenous, unrelenting.)
To kiss thy neck. (Gentle, sweet, sentimental.)
To kiss thy body. (Fierce, urgent, vicious.)
Long lost summer waves cascade across your complexion,
My eager breaths to warm you and hold you captivated.
(Tonight you won’t be cold,
You won’t be alone.)

Let the clouds create thy pillow,
And my warmth be thy blanket.
To keep you harmless and warm on cold nights.
(Hush, I will still be here when you awake.)

You fall silent, for you know I know.
Those dreams of yours are beautiful
(And they go a little something like this :)
Slowly yet surely, sweat comes to the surface,
Bathing us both. Sticky, and sweet.
And your kisses to me are as saccharine as sugar,
Your tongue like an old addiction.
And you’re not fighting me back with your tenseness,
You’re urging me, pushing me on.
You’re such a good little filly,
Buck up with those hips a little more, would you?
Then again, you are more than a One-Trick Pony.

The sweet, sweet act of love,
To give myself totally to you – It’s what I crave to do.
To prove to me – you – everyone – for all time.
That I belong to you.

Let the clouds create thy pillow,
And my warmth be thy blanket.
To keep you harmless and warm on cold nights.
(Hush, I will still be here when you awake,
When the moon people go back to their craters,
When the stars stop dancing,
When the sun starts climbing over the ledge of the Horizon cliff,
When love completes itself.)
I will still be here when you Awake.
