Happy Mothers Day
A day dedicated to the woman,
Who gave life to me,
And both my siblings,
Not knowing what she would have to deal with,
In the years ahead.
A day dedicated to the woman,
Who watches her child,
Slam the door in her face,
Turn up their music,
And drown her out.
A day dedicated to the woman,
Who hears the screams of frustration,
From behind the closed door.
Who knows the reason her child is crying,
Is because of her.
A day dedicated to the woman,
Who stands on her ground,
Watching it crumble away,
With every bad step her children take,
With every curse they may say.
A day dedicated to the woman,
Who has to deal with her child,
Whether she likes it or not,
Because they are a part of her,
In so many ways.
A day dedicated to the woman,
Who sees joy on the face in front of her,
Knowing that she can do good,
And she can make her child happy,
All she has to do is pass a laugh and a smile.
A day dedicated to the woman,
Who gave birth to a child,
Not one but three;
Two girls, one boy,
And created a whole new family.
