Title: Between Sunset and Sunrise

Summary: He sees Jason in everything these days. He thinks that maybe this is why the word ‘love’ was invented. Slash.

The late afternoon light shines in through the door. Robert imagines it being filtered by the screen door, casting his disjointed silhouette onto the wall, over the rumpled sheets and indented pillow of the bad against the wall. Throwing his silhouette over Jason, lying in Robert’s bed, like he was made to fit there, the perfect puzzle piece. Robert thinks that this is a sign that they were meant to be – even the light is joining them together.

He sees Jason in everything these days. He thinks that maybe this is why the word ‘love’ was invented.

He walks over to the bed and slides in behind Jason, placing his palm flat on Jason’s chest, directly over his heart.

He stays like that for a long, long time, long after the light outside has faded away to darkness.
