A/N: We got our poetry anthologies back!! I'm so happy with my mark! I desided to post a couple of samples up, a.k.a. the ones I really liked. The poems each required something, this poem required Imagery and a Simile. I hope you enjoy poem number 1 of 12 (Not all 12 poems are going to be posted.) Review please!

Opposites

A mirror reflected, reflected again.

Silence is breaking, shattered pieces falling

Mend together with thread and needle

Scattered image through the ripples

The night is black and blue

The sky azure, and happy

Sunlight is like moonlight

A shadow is like sadness

A ray of sunlight is, happiness

Life or death can be one...or two

Your waning heart, as strong as steel

Your state of mind, as thin as a leaf

As free as the wind, playing with the trees

Locked up like a bird, captured and chained

A/N: I hope everyone enjoyed poem number one! Please review!
