She said you turned her away
When she said the words today.
It's all she has to hold on to;
Her hope that you care for her too.
She would never let hurt show,
But it's not her nature to just let go,
When all she has to hold on to
Is her backlog memories of you.
So let her in your heart;
Don't let her fall apart;
When all she has to hold on to
Is the hope you love her too.
She's been there when no else was,
Standing by you because
You're all she has to hold on to,
And all she wants is to be with you.
She loves you don't you see?
But you're running away blindly.
You're all she has to hold on to
And remember, she loves you.
So stop hurting her pride;
Open your heart and let her inside,
Because it's all she has to hold on to.
You are all she has to hold on to.
