Hey everyone! it's me! Yeah, I missed two days of my new schedule. I know...~ and Today isn't even FA-day!! Lol. Sorry about that.. been bumming around with school and such. But anyway. Here is a new chapter. and I will be keeping up with the schedule starting next monday. I might actually write a JK chapter now! Who knoows? So how has everyone been?!

Fallen Angels: Part Sixteen

Julian’s POV

My heart almost stops when I see the other turn to walk off the platform. In that instant my arms went out and grabbed the other quickly but the fall was unavoidable. My wings came out but the fall was short and I had no time to turn all the way to keep the other safe.

A noise came from Miekel’s throat as he was trying to catch himself at first before he grabbed my shirt. “Julian!” he called out and it sounded like he wanted to say something else but we both hit the floor on our sides at that point.

I looked down to the other while my hands run over the others back. I felt something while we had fallen… something moving under the others shirt. Was it my imagination?

Miekel’s POV

The dream was fresh in my memory and I wasn’t paying attention to where we were. “I missed it didn’t I? I missed…praying…” I didn’t realize I was walking off the platform and the minute I did, the short fall reminded me of the long one I had coming down.

I called out the others name and right as I try to continue... he grabs me and I grab onto him a loud thud being the sound of us hitting the floor. My neck snaps backwards and I groan; my whole left side hurts too. I’m not made to fall like that... ever again, and just the memories took their toll on me.

I want to cry harder but I can’t… I feel hands on my back and that reminds me of the days in the hospital and how I get so scared that they are going to keep me locked in there forever. My eyes snap open to see those beautiful, beautiful gray eyes on me. I freeze…

He pulls me closer and I cringe, I need to go pray! He wasn’t going to remember me this way! Only Father can make him remember me. And why would Father do that? Why? We were sinners, and this was the ultimate sin!

I hold my breath to hold my tears and look away from the other. My fingers move up to my neck and grab the pendant Julian gave me when I fell.

“I... this is yours.” I bring it up to show the other and he freezes, and brings a hand up to take the necklace. Looking to the other as he looked it over,

Julian’s POV

“Why…? I thought I lost it… how do you…” he trailed off as he looked at the other. A Guardian of the Gate only gives his necklace to one kind of person. The other had to know that…

But was it even real? It had to be… no one on this world knew of a pendant like this. Not even the Bible mentioned it... or really us, period. Angel looks at me and he’s tearing up even more. I quickly sit up to examine him.

“Are you hurt? I’m sorry I didn’t catch you fast enough…” he was going on but Angel was pushing his hands away.

“Stop Julian...” his voice was shaking. “Just stop... I gave it back for a reason...”

Miekel’s POV

“Go back to Heaven...” I figured that since the other was down here... it was retirement. “Don’t waste your time here. You’re life will be so much better…” I took a deep inhale as I slowly sat up eventually pushing myself onto my feet. “You can get married, and actually have babies. So maybe Father has to make them for you…. You can have a life that is pure, and free of Sin.”

Not with me. Where Sin would be a part of our lives every single day. Who would want that after living a life like a Gate Guardian?

“That’s your necklace… free ticket back. Just say a Fallen ripped it off your neck when they were falling. It’s a good reason to come back and look for it... you Gate Guardian’s being so proud of what you are..”

I sniffled hard before staring at the man I love and let my heart just break into those pieces. They could heal, this way my life will now be sin free... and since the other couldn’t remember me... he could forget all of this happened and go back to Heaven. Where I wish to be…

Julian shook his head at me as he got up to grab one of my hands and place the necklace back in my palm. “No... No... That isn’t why I came.” He started off, and I paused before trying to bring my hand back. I didn’t want to fight, not with him. I was already shaking with how scared I was getting.

Julian’s POV

“I came because the last couple of weeks in Heaven! I’ve had an emptiness in my heart... and I know the answer is here. I hear the whispers all the way at my post in Heaven... I hear the little ‘I love you's' that your voices matches perfectly. Ever since the war…. I can’t remember anything! I can’t remember anything before or after it. Like something happened... But I know, I know I’ll remember... and I know when I do... you’ll be there somewhere in my memories. And that’ll be the difference because I think... I know... you were important to me.”

Angel seems to swell, and he was... mad. I could tell. “Well obviously not important enough!” he yelled at me as he brought his arm back to stumble back a bit. I look at him and obviously I’m hurt but I can’t do anything about it. “Obviously I was easy to forget! Father tinkers with your mind a bit and you forget everything that happened before the war too? You don’t remember one single thing with me in it! I can remember every single one of my memories with you...Every single breath I took with you, moment that we shared… Every single promise you made me…” his voice shook at the end of the last sentence.

He was crying now, and my heart... it was aching even more.

He got the last word in tonight, I couldn’t argue. Not with him... the only thing I understand now... is we were more than just friends and definitely Sinners.

Did I really want to risk my life in Heaven for something I’m probably better off not knowing about? Even if that something eventually kills me…?

This isn’t memory of mine... I don’t remember this... but it feels warm here. I feel like it’s the right place to be…and I hear that voice again. That voice, and can feel his body against mine. Can feel myself wrapping around him as he rested against me...

“I like to,” He start, “Well, I want to walk in fields of tons of pretty flowers.”

“To walk through a field; an Earth one right?” I ask gently as I adjust my sitting arrangement. My legs are spread a bit as the other sat between them. My arms are gently around his shoulders and he is leaning against me.

“Of course an Earth one, I’ve been through the ones here and I don’t enjoy them at all…” he whispers gently and tilts his head up to look at me. I smile gently to him, I don’t want to break his dream so I don’t speak badly of it, and actually, I offered to take him.

“Well, one day, I’ll take you to Earth so you can live through that dream…”

He seemed disbelieving but didn’t want to joke about the offer. He only looked down with a light smile; I gently nuzzle my head against his as he spoke.

“That would be nice Mr. Gate Guard, but I can’t leave Heaven. I won’t be allowed back.”

I shook my head gently, “There are always other ways, Scroll Writer.” I whisper gently and he turns his head to face me.

At this moment, I take advantage of the position and my hand comes up to pull his face up to mine. He seems to sit up at the motion, and instantly my lips press against the softest lips ever.

It turns dark... and all I can hear is...

“I love you…”
