Under the eyes of Nyx

His tales transfix

As the falling flame licks

The burning candles wicks

Then the silence broke

And out fear awoke

As he finally spoke

And he spoke of

Coffin nails

And witches spells

Long dark tales

Of fiery hells

Through the darkening smoke

He would not choke

And continually he spoke

And he spoke of

Wooden stakes

And fiery lakes

Funeral wakes

And Biblical quakes

He hates the light

But he loves the night

He’s

The Devil’s playwright

Then the silence broke

And our fear awoke

As he finally spoke

And he spoke of

Forbidden lust

And rank grave dust

Thoughts unjust

And men that rust

Through the darkening smoke

He would not choke

And continually spoke

And he spoke of

Tombstones

And broken bones

Haunting moans

In chilling tones

He embraces the night

And rejects the light

He’s

The Devil’s Playwright

And as the fire dies

And the sun pierced the skies

He finally sighs

And he closed his eyes

And he was gone

Then the silence broke

And out fear awoke

As he finally spoke

Through the darkening smoke

He would not choke

And continually spoke

And then he was gone.
