Hi there people. This poem is about a friend of mine. I wrote a poem about her, and this is what I came up with. Tell me what you think if you have a couple moe’s.

Night Silver’s Whisper

The back-up girl:

She makes it look like its okay,

You ask, and she’ll give a smile.

She’ll pretend, as an actress does,

She’s a friend, thinking it’s worthwhile.

If you’re in trouble, and need help,

The first person you go to isn’t there,

And you go to your second friend.

She won’t say anything, but she’s aware,

That you made her the back-up girl,

That you came to her second instead of first,

She won’t mention it because she’s a friend,

And you won’t see it, but what she really thirsts,

Is for somebody to finally notice,

To notice she doesn’t like it this way,

That she’d rather be the first,

Than the back up girl any old day.

Ask her the first time, and she’ll just smile.

Try a second time, and she might tell you.

A third time, and maybe she’ll give an answer.

That she hates being a back-up girl, it’s true.

She doesn’t like having people come to her second,

Always having someone else first, having her next.

Try going to her first sometime; you might see her smile,

Tell her you know what she hates, that you know she expects,

To be the back-up girl,

That you came to somebody else before her,

She’ll keep her mouth shut,

You won’t know, it causes her emotions to stir,

About how she’s tired of it,

She wants to be noticed as more,

Something closer to a first,

And you, her friends, are the only ones who can open that door.

Ask me how I know this?

And I will tell you,

That I asked her,

And she said it’s true.

I’m aware she doesn’t like it,

Even I have made her that too.

I’m a friend, and I’ve done it,

I hope others will see this as their cue,

To realize what they’ve made her,

To see her feelings about it,

To see her fake smiles and grins,

Instead of just deciding to forget,

All of what she’s done for you,

Second or first, she’s still there,

Don’t forget that, because these friends,

They’re hard to find anywhere.
