An Ocean's Lament

Tumultuously intense
Waves of madness darkening
a Hell wrought with sweet torture
Rolling and tumbling,
Smashing and rising against the sky
to wage war with the stars and the moon and the sun
to caress the shadows of the night and the rays of daylight
to mourn the loss of strong sailors and the lives of lost souls
to love morning's sight and the sound of birds in the sky
to hate the scent of storms and the one coming up ahead

Seething and weeping
Waves of sadness drowning
a Heaven wrought with depression
Crying and calling,
Crumbling and falling,
Always wishing and always dreaming for more
to breathe and to live, to sin and be happy
to lie and be human, to scream and be lively
to discover and earn money, to dance and be naughty
Forever and for always,
An ocean's lament.
