Depression can be

It can swallow you whole

And be all that you see

An overlooked weapon

Is what you will use

To try and escape

The pain that you choose

As metal and flesh

Mix in a whirl

All they can see

Is an emotional girl

You don't really notice

The liquid running down

And all that's on your face

Is a discontent frown

You wipe the salt water

Away from your eyes

And continue with your day

Full of weakness and lies
