Bathroom Break

Its an occasion that arises once a day in school

BATHROOM

The urge to no longer contain your bladder

You have to release but quick

Jump from the bathroom pass

Otherwise you’ll engage in battle

With a girl in red flip flops

Armed with makeup, cigarettes, and a cell phone

These are her weapons and she’s not afraid to use them

But then your hands contain the gold freedom, not hers

Now it’s a rush

Sneak speedily and swiftly

Only 20 feet to go
Danger! Danger! Potential questioning ahead

Out lurks a teacher ready with papers in their hands

Speed walking is necessary, run ! Run! Run!

Ah, you escape but now the awkwardness arises

A pair of feet besides a clean stall

Do you use it? Why not

Sit upon the freedom of previous bathroom goers

And take a deep breath

Observe the feet next to you

Who wears sandals with socks?

Finally contempt

Both of you rise at the same time

Now you meet

Face to face she stares blank

What to say?

Sanitize and leave

Rush out and hold your head up high

Smile now

The deed is done.
