Last night I danced with Dorian Gray

(And he was still quite strikingly handsome

Having snatched his soul back from his painting)

My red heels clicked on the marble floor

As Venus orbited past my green eyes

And Orion shot arrows at the night

In a flash, we were in Wonderland

Sipping our sweet tea as the Dormouse dozed

And Dorian’s Cheshire smile sparkled

We sat on the silver bullet train

As we shot past Neptune’s flooded castle,

Being blankly observed by sullen fish

Then the dawn broke on my sleeping face

And forced my pale green eyes to open wide

To greet the dullest of daily living

Still, as reality swallowed me

In the dark, dusty apses of my mind

I was dancing with Dorian Gray.
