Phantom Chaos

I stretched my arms before logging on to my favorite chatroom website for teens. As usual, I was the first one on, and soon after Blythe joined in.

RemanWarriorGirl45: BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! How are you?

Hell's Angel 17: I'm fine, Emmi. Has your dad decided whether or not you'll be joining us at Preston Hills Academy this fall?

RemanWarriorGirl45: No, not yet. I'm supposed to hear their answer after dinner tonight. What did your dad say when he found out you wanted to go to a school in California?

Hell's Angel 17: He said, 'Are you insane? I'm not going to let my only daughter live all the way across the country! I may be an agent, but I have prinicples, Blythe Maie Rogers.' Then I said, 'I've already done a background check on everyone that works at that school, and I know what to do and not to do. I went to training camp with the others, ya know?' And after we argued, he said I could go. He was really nice about it. I hope your dad lets you come, cause if you don't, I'll be stuck with Meena and Toboy for an entire year! We'll be surrounded by stuck-up rich kids, and us White House kids have to stick together!

UStoleMyBlankie: You said it, Big Sister!

Demonboy: UStoleMyBlankie? Honestly, Meena, that's the most childish screename I've ever heard. You're fifteen, for Heaven's sake.

UStoleMyBlankie: Oh, shut up, Zander! I'm not the one that acts like a five-year-old! Oooh, gimme candy, Blythe! Wanna soda, guys? I think you need a soda. You look really thirsty. Say you love me, Blythe, cause you know I love you! You sound like, like-

RemanWarriorGirl45: Momiji Sohma, perhaps?

Hell's Angel 17: You even look like him, Toboy! Blond hair and brown eyes! You're so adorable!

Demonboy: You know you all love me.

UStoleMyBlankie: Whatever, Toboy.

The four of us continued to chat until Maragret entered my room and told me to prepare for dinner. The I had to go and change into an outfit she had laid out on my bed- a knee-length pleated brown skirt and a yellow sweater. And penny loafers, just like Nancy Drew. And with my red hair and violet eyes, I'm the picture perfect First Daughter, albeit a little strange looking. America's Teenage Sweetheart, that's what they call me. My little sister Sophie is often called America's Angel, she's so sweet.

Sophie's eight, and has curly brown hair like our father, and these large brown eyes just like a puppy's. She loves horseback riding, tea parties, dress-up, and playing with her dolls. My parents say that I was just like that when I was her age. Now, I'm a lot different. I hate dolls, unless they are those collectable ceramic ones. I still dress all prim and proper, and it's not becasue my dad's the President of the United States. I dress this way because I feel uncomfortable dressing like a normal girl, like Blythe or Meena. I once tried wearing these pair of jeans at the mall, and I felt so weird. I mean, they were so uncomfortable and tight, even though Bly told me they looked stunning on my 'model figure'. I still have those jeans, only, they're at the back of my closet.

During dinner, which included Blythe, Meena, and Toboy, there was little conversation between us older White House kids. Sophie went on about how she made her bodyguard Jonny play dollies and tea party with her and Kisa, her best friend, and Toboy's little sister. Finally, during dessert, my father announced, "I have decided to let you go to this school, knowing that your friends will be there with you." But before I could jump out of my seat, he said, "However, you will be followed by your personal secret service, and you will call whenever you have plans to stay out past eleven, and you will call each night before you go to bed. Meena and Blythe will be your roomates, of that I am sure."

"Aw, Daddy," Sophie whined. "How come she gets to go to school in California? I want to go too."

"Maybe when you're older," said Mom. Sophie huffed and sat back in her seat. I was grinning from ear to ear as I ate my banana cream pie, my favorite dessert.

Later that night, as I was getting ready for bed, I recieved an email. Curious, I thought, sitting down at my desk. I clicked on it, and began to read it. It was from someone named Phantom Chaos, and that person wanted to become friends with me. I quickly called up Blythe, who was an expert at finding out everything there was to know about a person. She could find out a guy's dental records, where he was from, and even if his family was prone to illness. Her parents work for the CIA ans Secret Service.

"Hey, Emmi. What's up?"

"Well, I kind of need you to check something for me. A Phantom Chaos, with spaces. It's on our chatsite. I was hoping you could tell me if it's safe to talk to this guy."

I knew she was grinning on the other end. She loved a challenge. "I'm on it."

Ten minutes later, she was done. "It's a guy. Just turned sixteen, and his background checks out. He looks decent, and his name is-"

"I don't want to know, but thanks for the information. I'll see you bright and early tommorw morning, and no, I won't be on all night, Mother. Love you later, Blythe."

"Love you later, Emmika!!"

We hung up, and I began chatting with my new pen pal.

RemanWarriorGirl45: Hello.

Phantom Chaos: Hi. I was wondering how long it was going to take you to reply.

RemanWarriorGirl45: Oh, I'm sorry about that. I was talking to a friend, but I'm all ears until eleven. You can call me Meekerz, although that's not my real name.

Phantom Chaos: Well then, you can call me Chaos. I don't have a nickname.

RemanWarriorGirl45: So, Chaos... how did you find this website?

Phatom Chaos: My friend Michael told me about it. I saw your screename and figured you'd be a nice person to talk to. I live all the way in California. Where do you live?

I contemplated telling him I lived in the White House, and then typed:

Well, I live all the way on the East Side. I'm fifteen. How old are you?

Phantom Chaos: Sixteen. I got a car for my birthday. It's a 56 Chevrolet convertable, recently painted red.

RemanWarriorGirl45: I love old cars. My dad doesn't want me to drive yet, even though I'm going to pass Driver's Ed this year. Are your parents overprotective?

Phantom Chaos: Not really. I mean, my dad's a salesman and my mom teaches history. They rarely notice. Do you wanna play 20 Questions?

RemanWarriorGirl45: As long as we don't give out anything too personal. I'll start. What's your favorite color?

Phanotm Chaos: I have to say it's blue. What's your favorite movie?

RemanWarriorGirl45: Can you narrow it down to s specific category? I have so many!

Phantom Chaos: All ight. Your favorite comedy...

RemanWarriorGirl45: Fifty First Dates with Adam Sandler. I like pretty much everything that has him as the star. I think it's so nice how two people overcome such harsh obstcales. Having your wife wake up each morning, not knowing who you are, or that she's pregnant, or that she has a child, it's so amazing. What's the most amazing thing you have ever seen?

Phantom Chaos: I've been to a Jonas Brothers concert with my little sister. That was pretty cool.

RemanWarriorGirl45: Oh, so you have a little sister?

Phantom Chaos: Yeah. Her name's Mia, and she's thirteen. I have another sister named Gracie. She's only six. What is the most amazing thing you have ever seen?

RemanWarriorGirl45: No fair! You just asked the same thing I did! But if you must know, I don't believe I live an amazing life.

The two of us talked until eleven, when we said goodbye and went our separate ways for the night. I learned a lot about Chaos without exactly learning any personal information, like his name and address. He seemed really sweet, and funny, too! He cared a lot about his family, expecially Gracie. I think this is the kind of person I could become friends with. Maybe, one day in the future, we can meet and have lunch.

Hmm, Chaos.

Author's Note:

Emmika had red hair and violet eyes, which forementioned in chapter 1. Her mom looks like her. Red hair and violet eyes are pretty rare I think, so I kinda have an obsession with it. In many of my future stories, the main girl will usually have red hair and violet eyes, just so you know. And this will be in Chaos's POV, too!

Blythe's middle name is Maie, pronounced( My-ay). Toboy is pronounced Toe-boy. Don't ask why the call him that; even I don't know! All of them have been best friends even before Emmi's dad became the President.
