How Do You Know If You Exist?

Bite your lip,

Cry those tears,

You won’t remember me anyway

In a couple years.

Tell me that I’m wrong,

But you were never right.

Tell me I still love you,

Who knows? I just might.

Can you even tell,

If the world goes on without you,

When you turn out the lights?

Do you even know

If everyone else exists,

When you leave the room?

You can lie to yourself

And say that your fine,

But I’ve always known your heart

Better than mine.

You can sing to yourself,

Those happy little songs,

And you can deny that you did

All those pretty little wrongs.

Can you even tell,

If the world goes on without you,

When you turn out the lights?

Do you even know

If everyone else exists,

When you leave the room?

How do you know if you exist?
