as i kneel before thee on my quivering knee
you speak strong and loudly
setting unwanted gossip free
my land has been taken, as well as my family
yet the courtiers snicker appraisingly
i kiss your highness' smooth hand
all the while watching the ground
there is cheering and pent up sighs of frustration
and though salvation there is none
i look up in search of god
and earnestly give a silent prayer
i brought shame to my surname
and equally alike in my loved one's lives
curch bells swing franticly
and i find thou's thawed face
thou hast seen my worst side
and doth geniunly curious as to my nobleness towards god
my eyes send thee flashes of dreams, of things not yet true
and why thou leanest foward i still not know
or why thou's face gave an aura of sympathetic glow.
